Snaps & PUL and other questions
Hi ladies - I am going to try sewing some mama cloth for myself to try. This will be my first experience with mama pads.
I've sewn since I was a child but had a couple ?'s
PUL - I know that this should be sewn with a ball point needle - however, if you're sewing it as a hidden layer in mama cloth pads do you still sew it with a ball point needle?
also - do you all find that you really need the smaller size 16 snaps instead of size 20 snaps?
I'm planning to order my snap press and was trying to decide whether to order many size 16 or not. I am getting such a nice big selection of colors in size 20 but can't see spending $$$$ to get that same rainbow of colors in size 16 also. so any thoughts?
any suggestions for someone who is going to try to sew her own for the first time - tips on sewing - preference on serged or turned & topstitched, fabric preferences, how many layers, etc........
