I've not been on LJ much lately...sorry all. Bonafide...I can't seem to locate the pics...hmmm? I'm sure it is operator error on my side :D
I wanted to get some new pics of "Pricey", but he decided to roll in the muddy field and is not worth taking pictures of at this moment. ShyShy is getting a thick back belly on her....thank GOD she took. I couldn't wait twice for a new foal to play with! I caught my father's jack and put him up for some wormer, feed, and an attitude adjustment. He has been a bit protective of "Jenny" and we are currently trying to work with her. I got tired of getting lipped, bit, or pushed...so the jack was put in a stall. "Jenny" is doing great though. She is snow white...so pretty.
I spent my free time last week helping to "proof" dad's walk-in cooler. Not only is he the general manager of a major stables in town, he also runs a processing business. He mostly processes the hogs from the hunting lodge, but he gets quite a few deer and domestic pigs from time to time as well. Putting a better frame up for the wall coverings to attach to was the biggest part of it. After the frame was up, well, all THREE coverings went up fine. By the time I had been around that huge cooler three times I knew EVERY little imperfection. I don't mind helping out cause Dad is pretty nice about letting us use the machinery when we wanna process a deer or hog. He also lets us process the hogs the hunters do not want....somehow rich guys think there is no reason to eat what they kill. Oh well, more sausage and chops for me! I swear, I haven't bought pork out of a store in almost three years! Actually, it tastes funny from the stores now...so I can't go back to it...haha.
I've been watching CNN and HNN a lot this week due to Katrina. It is one big, ugly mess. There are shelters here in TN helping people misplaced by the storms....that shows how many people this storm touched.
School is consuming most of my time. It isn't "hard" persay...just very much "busy work" that keeps you spinning. I'll be glad when I stop spinning and take a step up in the job ranks. I like what I do, but to get even closer to what I can actually USE my DEGREE for...well, that would be wonderful.
Have any of you seen the show about the "Dancing Outlaw" named Jesco White? OMG...I felt so bad for that man after I watched that. Some cityslicker guy made a documentary telling hime it was because of his "dancing skills" and that he was going to make him a star....but only made fun of him. I heard that once the documentary came out Jesco was so upset and humiliated that he snapped and is now in an institution. Of course, that city slicker got rich off the ordeal and poor Jesco signed any paper the guy slipped under his nose and is just as poor today as he was then. It's a shame.
Poor guy is pretty messed up though ;)
ANYWHO...I'm done for now.
