Leaving, Not on a Jet Plane...

So, my plan was to leave for Pullman (to visit Russ) Friday, return Sunday morning in time for Father's Day stuff, and work Sunday night. Then Russ called me a few hours ago and said that the football team has a recruit in this weekend, and he and the boys are taking the kid camping, leaving Saturday afternoon. So that sort of shot our plans in the foot (feet?) so in a moment of mild craziness, I got someone to cover my shift tomorrow night at work, so I'm leaving in the morning. I'll drive back Saturday afternoon. Woah. Usually I don't act with this sort of spontenaity, but I just sort of want to get OUT. Weird stuff last week, and a few weeks of weirdness living with my family, I've had enough. I need a vacation, and some open-road therapy.

Fun times. So, last night I went to visit my boy Emerson, and met a few of his friends. Around 9:30 we decided to go visit the "costco of porn" in Seattle. It's htis place called Castle- it's right next to where the big pink toe truck used to be. Check it out, it's incredible. It has a whole huge long wall full of vibrators. Just VIBRATORS. Not just toys, those are the half dozen shelves next to it. One whole half of the place is videos- it's like a Hollywood video, but all PORN, seperated by genre. Incredible. Once we suppressed the giggles, we were good to go.

Okay, and...I met a boy. Of course, right? And no, I didn't meet him in the Costco of Porn. His name is Skyler, he's this friend of Emmy's.  When we were piling back into my car (yes, it's fixed!) after visiting the Costco of Porn, he noticed the rowing sticker on the back window, and asked me about it. Turns out a friend of his just taught him how to row on an ergometer, and he wants to try it in a boat now. SO, I went on and on about the different rowing clubs in Seatlle, yadda yadda...bored the other people in the car to tears, I'm sure. When we got back to Emerson's, the flirting definitely picked up, talking about music and movies. He hadn't seen Boondock Saints (can you imagine?!!), so we all watched it, and yeah- it was good. Nothing happened, but I gave him my phone number and the phone numbers of a few rowing clubs so he could get some water time, and guess what! He jsut called. Totally cool. Bummer that I had to tell him I'm leaving town, but we're gonna get together next week sometime. Omg, I'm stoked. Very cool guy, very cute- very smart. Perhaps a summer romance? We'll see.

Okay, um....so yeah. I'm not a whore, really. And I actually do like this guy, so you should be proud of me for not jumping his bones right away. So there. I was good. I didn't do anythign other than mild flirting. Maybe it was a bit tacky of me because he did show up with a chick, but Emmy informed me today that she has sworn off of guys for a couple years anyway, so it's not like that was going anywhere. Bah. Whatever.

Goodnight all- I'll fill you in next week.
