Hoooo-Ah!
Spent majority of my Friday night at the studio. I didnt get home till about 2:30am so it was pointless to try to find something to do. It's weird being sober on a Friday.
We got all the drum tracks, and rhythm guitar done tonight. We are really taking our time on this record and I'm really happy about that. usually any band I'm in just wants to settle for things, we're not doing that. Everything has to be perfect or fucking real close. Nothing half assed. The way it should be.
We got the bass tracks done on 2 songs too. Shawn showed up and nailed em both on the first shot. I'm glad he's in the band. He's clicking well.
Geoff called me from maxies and we couldn't hear one another. All i heard was macies, and booty music. We were working pretty hard tonight in the studio so i couldn't come out. He's going through a hard time right now, and i feel bad i couldn't be there for him. Ex-Girlfriends and Flint is the formula for making your life miserable sometimes.
Sunday we're going back up to the studio at 5p.m. Note to self.....bring your harmonica. Looks like we'll be starting the harmonica tracks soon. So far i have yet to lay my voice or my harp on anything. I've just been the suggestion/opinion guy. It's cool that everyone is listening to what i have to say about things and will comprehend what i'm trying to get across. Then to actually have them try it out in the song and like it and keep it....it's a good feeling. I feel very comfortable in the studio, Marc does a great job and has been a good friend for many years. He actually likes this band. I don't think he ever dug any of the others i was in.
Well tomorrow i have no plans. I think i need to clean my apartment. After that, I'm going to get drunk somewhere.
