I'm one more girl on the stage

Eek...I've been neglectful. Well, actually I just update the blog on myspace and forget about this one, so I'll try and be better. Or you can just subscribe to me on myspace...

X-posted from myspace.

Last night I got to go see the Wreckers in Oroville, which is pretty much the absolute middle of nowhere. It was fantastic! Amber came with, so the 2+ hour drive didn't seem so icky. Especially because she knows that I know she knows. And because she's a bit evil. That's my favorite part!

So yeah...the show review:
I can't remember the order of the songs, but they opened with Cigarettes followed by Love Me Like That (?!?!?) and The Good Kind, closed with Leave the Pieces, performed an encore of Strawberry Wine, and somewhere in the middle also played Way Back Home, Tennessee, My Oh My (the next single of course), Stand Still Look Pretty (possibly my favorite performance of the night), Rain (my other favorite performance of the night), Crazy People, and a Lori McKenna (I think...) cover.

I remember Michelle being featured on Stand Still, Look Pretty and I think Rain, but I also remember her saying something about having a good birthday weekend in California's fine wine country. Wink She said she was still a little hungover and was going to let Jess do all the work!

Jess was featured on Tennessee (duh...) and during the Lori McKenna cover.

For the most part though, it was a pretty equitable division of labor. Very Happy

At one point (I think during Rain) a grasshopper landed on Jess's head, which was hilarious and her reaction (think Shocked ) to Michelle telling her that was the best.

It was weird because this show was at a casino about an hour north of Sacramento in what can most accurately described as the middle of nowhere. There were only 1200 seats in the place and it was nowhere near filled. I'm not quite sure why they'd book a place like that (and yes, I know the gals don't actually pick the places they play), but whatev...we were front row, which was closer than anyone else! hahaha

I'm sure Sharon got some good pictures, so I'll try and post those later.

Anyway...a great time was had by all. Except for me when we went to Taco Bell for dinner and Amber told me they didn't have taquitos, so I called her a liar, but then the guy said she was right and I was all :( WHAT KIND OF SICK WORLD DO I LIVE IN? A gal should be able to score taquitos on a Thursday night in Oroville if she wants to! But then I guess I should be grateful they even had a Taco Bell in that town...

Seriously...like an hour and a half NORTH of Sacramento...the freeways had stoplights and everything...

I've been having issues with being really frustrated with people all the time, so if I've been short with you, I'm sorry, but not really. I'm tired and busy and overwhelmed and worried so you should shower me with love and affection instead of irriate me. ;););) lol jk jk jk

PS...Weiser...Jess sings better than M and that made me laugh. Good thing M is still fantastic, but I was definitely impressed with the Harp skills. Even more so than the last time.
