Cat House

The five cats of the apartment have been demanding more space. I suggested that they get jobs and buy a new place to call home. They reminded me that they don't get the concept of working for money. Working to catch a mouse or bird? Sure, they understand that. In fact, the newest addition (whom we have named Q-Tip) recently made a bird explode in our living room. Not a sight for the squeamish, I gotta tell you. Yeesh! Now, while they don't understand money, they DO understand how easy it is to control the workings of the human mind. Through their united use of DMC (Diabolical Mind Control), Lisa and I have recently found ourselves driving past houses with "For Sale" signs out in the front lawns. We'd eventually shake off the thoughts that made us drive by these houses. But, a few days later, we would be surfing on the internets and find ourselves at Multiple Listing sites. And then off we would go, to look at that house we had just seen on the site. This morning, I was able to startle myself out of a DMC contrived daze and found myself faxing something called a "counter offer" to someone who says she is our realtor. With a start, I realized Lisa and I are BUYING a house! This is assuming, of course, that the seller accepts our offer. So, that is what has been up with me the past few weeks. I've also been more tired than normal, so I wonder what else the cats have been having me do...
