Two of my favorite poems
Angel
You may not know
but you have helped me to grow
your my angel who was sent from up above
who came down to show me love
We shared so much
but know so little
we've loved we've hated and we've anticipated
but still it's all over now
There's nothing we can do now
but live our lives
and give thanks for the times we spent together
I still give thanks for the sweet things that you said
and still I thank God for sending me an angel like you
But everything has to come and go in life
but luckily you were the angel that came and changed my life
( A friend wrote this one)
The play or life
As I sit here quiet as can be
and everyone is talking up a storm
Talking about plays, lives, and everything else
But if you think about it
Most of our lives are like the plays we speak about
We all play a role while with friends
and when we are at home alone we are ourselves
Why do we do this to ourselves
We try to play a role everyone loves
You can never tell who is real and who is fake
Who is your friend and who is not
It is one of life's many questions I guess
We all try to get the leading role
And while we are all competing for it
we will gain friends and we will lose friends
Why not be yourself all the time
Life would be so much easier and truer
But, as I sit here quiet as can be
while everyone is talking up a storm
