nobody's perfect
and no relationship is perfect
and I guess that fact
slammed right into my face last night
people make mistakes
and it's a constant up hill battle
to keep it afloat
but at the end of the day
sometimes you find yourself surprised
at how lucky you are
to be where you are
because things may not be roses
and engagement rings and wild trips
around the world
but they're still worth smiling over
at least we're both still here
together
and willing to try to make this work
regardless of all of our collective
and individual flaws
