Pancakes and bad breath

So it's been a while (6 weeks according to LJ). They're now recommending little things to get me along, called Writer's Block. Fuck that. I just haven't wanted to post.

So in the past couple of weeks, I've been keeping myself quite busy. I'm working full time at the slavey, and making good money (whee!). On my off days, I try to go mountain biking and swimming, or just leave the apartment for a long span of time. I've been spending a lot of time with Kristin when she's actually in fucking baton rouge. Lynn is also a good distraction.

While on the subject of Mountain Biking, I've fallen in fucking love with it. We rent bikes from the Rec, and go to a place in Baker managed by BREC. I almost had my dad convinced to buy me a mountain bike, but it was Sunday and no bike shops were open, nor were prices of bikes on the Jax shops' sites.

I went to Zach's one night (coworker). He's a pretty awesome guy and we just hung out, smoked a few cigarettes, and watched Wedding Crashers. I really didn't like the movie, but it was fun hanging out with him. I'll have to host soon.

I want to buy a grill. I wanna grill something right now. Thick cut steaks would be perfect. I just need the grill first.

I went to Florida for a couple of days this past weekend. It was a nice break from work, but I really wanted to go diving. It didn't happen because my dad was a lazy git. He didn't even help pay for my gas. He did make some good dinners, and bought me liquor because I don't drink the stuff he had. That was nice I suppose.
I was really jealous because he's got a new truck, a new kick ass computer, a new deck with new patio furniture (that he dropped $1400 on), and a killer camper that's designed for motorcycles that has all kinds of motorized furniture and plasma screen tv's and shit. I'm in BR, starving half the time, struggling with bills, and a proud owner of a laptop that I have to turn upside down at night so it doesn't overheat.
I suppose I just have to accept the fact that he owns his own business and was in the same situation at my age. Get over it Russ.

I need to clean my apt. Savanna is coming over to borrow some cookware, and I don't want it to look a mess the first time she's seen my flat. That wouldn't be grood.

Night folks.

Oh, one last thing. I was checking out at Old Navy (bought some shorts, etc.) and I'm dealing with Dana. The customer behind me says, "Rusty! I wouldn't have recognized you had it not been for Brad's picture in your wallet."
Brad's aunt was checking out behind me, and she remembered me. I think the last time I saw her was Thanksgiving 06, but if not then, then Brad's funeral... Feb 2004. It was odd running into her at work, and we got to talking.
She knew about the giant party that got broken up by the cops in Oakbrook. Someone even hit the gate and the resident card reader (gah, I keep going to it, but have to get out of my truck and walk to the visitors box and pass my wallet over the pad). Anyway, she knew all about it. Very small world.
