The Most Important Thing

Instead of doing my english reading tonight, I wrote a song. Or at least, I wrote half the lyrics to a song I already had music to. The song is called...

The Most Important Thing

verse: (fast rap)

When I stop to think of all the things I think about
When I'm in the car, or in my bed, or in a restaurant eating out
I can't help but think of all the things I think I think about the most
If they weren't so interesting to me they would not keep me so engrossed

But if I think about those things a little longer I might find
That there is one thing among these things that is most prominent in my mind
That is the thing I think that has the greatest import to me
If I dedicate my life to that it will set my soul at ease

pre-chorus: (guitar strumming, One, Two, Three And Four)

What I'm trying to say to you
Is to look inside yourself
And find the most important thing
That rules over everything else

chorus: (crashing guitar chords)

The most important thing to you
Might be hard to find but I believe it will come through
It could be rock and roll or it could be God
But it might be Nicole or it might be Todd

bridge: (sweet guitar chords with key change)

But don't let anything stop you
Don't let anything get in your way
You've got a world of opportunity before you now
Please make me proud

I wanted to write more, but I figured sleep was more necessary for classes tomorrow.
