Correction, sources say that most people tend to confuse Apollo from Helios, god of the sun. Mythological texts show that Apollo and Helios are two seperate beings. It is Helios who controls the sun, Apollo domains over light, poetry, music, healing and fortune-telling

Initially. Apollo came to represent the sun, particularly to the Romans, taking over that attribute from Helios and supplanting the older deity, in the same way his sister took over dominion of the moon from Selene.

Don't correct the girl who's taken five years of Latin, three semesters of mythology, a semester of Greek history, and a semester of Roman history. :P

Oh so Apollo took over ok! This is all confusing! I think they are separate beings...oh well as you said...your 5 years of Latin, 3 semesters of mythology, a semester of Greek History and a semester of Roman history are respected. *grins* The Romans should've just chosen another religion! *grins* Was this adaptation of Greek religion caused by Julius Caesar when he was Pontifex Maximus given control over religion?

Apollo, because of the want to heal and also the song..it showes compassion, which is something a healer should have.
