good luck with the fabric hunting! I had that happen to me before. The fabric I bought a month ahead of time ended up going on sale in the clearence section and I didn't realize I needed more until it was gone from my joann's. I had to call everyone in the area to see if they had it. The only place that did was an hour and a half away...so I understand your pain. ^_^
