Would you happen to know a good way for mortals to get around telekinesis? That's usually the problem. Ran is very good with combat, but it got negated because of LOT using their magic against her.

Depends. I've got experience with it, so I'm sure I can get a friend to whip up a shielding charm that'll make telekinetic abilites slide off. Just takes a lot of Chaos Magic to do that.

The trick against a telekinetic is that you have to be faster than the mind can process, and a shielding charm will go a long way...

hmm...

I got it. Have him swing by Negi's place, or my place. I'll get a pactio circle drawn up.

...well, it's worth a shot. Though Loki would have his own chaos magic, maybe it'll be unexpected enough he won't be able to overpower it as easily?

The problem is the empathetic abilities to be faster. It makes movements easier to predict. At least according to big sis. I'm not good with those senses personally.

But if you have spells that can do that...

Can I bring four others? Conan, Ran, Aoko, and Kaito keep getting involved with LOT. The girls have been training with me and big sis to try and find a way for them to counteract the telekinetic. It hasn't been going so well.

But you forget that Mortal Chaos Magic is different from Divine. At least that's what happens in most cases.

That would be a problem. Maybe a psionic shield of some kind to create a wash of magical "white noise" then. Technology does help as well as magic, and I know a few things that might help.

Yeah sure. I'll try to figure this out. Too much pactio would probably cause problems here and there so lemme see about getting something done. Now where's that tiki...

That's true, but Loki is the God of Chaos, which gets a bit weird.

I have been working on something like that, but it's taking a bit of work since I don't know the exact mix of divine and demonic energy there is.

What is a pactio exactly?

That's true. And it's not like I have Saotome Luck that I can pass on. Now that was some crazy Chaos right there.

Hmm, well if not divine then maybe mortal magic? Negi's a pretty good mage and I'm sure he could help with the idea.

Pactio is a partnership between mage and defender. In essence, Keiichi could get an item that would compliment his abilities.

True. Luck can help for a lot of things.

It might be worth a shot, but I meant for technology. More my fault than anything, but there's a lot of tech with both worlds that if I'm not careful, they'll short circuit the system. It's already happened with the first device to try and counter their powers.

Compliment his abilities....

That might be exactly what I need.

True, so I guess in all we'll have to figure out some way to block the empathy or the telekinetic abilities.

I'll make up a little list of known pactio and how they can develop over time before sending it over.

Or at least one or the other. Doing one will limit how effective the other thing can be used.

That'd be a good idea. Conan likes to know everything he can about what he's getting into.
