And so it begins..
Tonight I work, hopefully I'll be home before the sun comes up, but lately that just hasn't been happening with the sheer amount of work to do.
I made the top ten in the department for the third time since I started about ninety days ago. That means I've ranked ten or better in over a thousand people in our US location three times. This time ranking third.
I'm ecited about it. I'll be having my sixty day review which is ironically at the 90 day point because of time contraints.
I have faith in myself that I can do what I have to do academically full time and work full time and do both well. It'll be hard but I know I can do it, and it all starts tomorrow with Native American Studies at 3 oclock in the afternoon. Luckily only two of my classes meet twice a week. The other three meet once a week starting Wednesday, Thursday and then Friday.
I'm over prepared, over organized and read much farther ahead than I had planned, which is a good thing. If I don't read now I won't ever get it done.
I'm trying to stay positive and keep myself focused, but for now, it's time to work and try to avoid the monster that is overtime. This week we've all got an extra day on our checks coming because of the amount of work last week. Yay for that little bit of help I think.
