The sun was setting when 'Dite got back to the island and the store. She spent a few minutes just glancing around, then found Herc and petted him for a few minutes.
After that, she picked up one of her bags and set it gently on the counter. Unable to find a hammer, she zapped a hanger into place on the wall behind the counter and nodded.

She came out to meet him, wiping her hand on a towel before tossing it into the air where it disappeared.

She didn't think she'd forgotten that they had a date; those were usually the first thing listed in her little black book.

Max was going to teach her to fight.
"I'm sorry, Max, I did forget." She sat down on her stool with a sigh. "Any chance we could put it off? It's been -- a long day."
Though part of her was wondering if going to the lesson might actually be cathartic.

'Dite wasn't sure which would be better, so she'd let him decide. Besides, she'd hidden out enough. The community center might be a good thing for her.

He turned toward the door. "I'll head on over and you can meet me there?"

"Sweats? You've gotta be kidding me." 'Dite thought for a moment, then grinned and snapped her fingers, zapping herself into just the perfect outfit.
"Oh, yeah. Pink is just my color." With a wink to herself she was out the door.
