'Dite's Decadent Delights, Friday evening

Jan 29, 2010 09:11

The store was not open today. The sign she'd hung in the window said Decadent Delights is closed today so we can restock your favorite items! Come visit us over the weekend!

But 'Dite was there. While a few boxes had arrived yesterday, giving Jack something to do during his shift, most of the new inventory had arrived just this morning. Boxes and boxes, filled with books, magazines, DVD's, candy, cards, and games, as well as the more obvious items.

Along with inventory, there was a small feast set out along the front display counter. Deciding to go with her native foods, 'Dite had ordered from a Greek restaurant on the mainland and zapped the whole spread out to the store. Instead of the normal menu at a fast food restaurant, she'd gotten a full course meal with lentil soup, Greek salad, leeks stewed with tomatoes, spicy braised beef pasta, and baked lamb. For dessert there was both baklava and orange cake with a sesame seed paste.

There was also Ouzo, but that was more for her than the two teens.

While waiting for her two guests, 'Dite stood in the middle of the store, contemplating. If she wanted, this was an opportunity to totally redesign things. And she might want. The counseling room up front was staying, even though she'd had to replace the chairs. But the rest of the store? Totally open. Maybe an arch here? Knock a wall down back there and extend? More books, fewer toys? Plenty of things to talk about when the kids arrived.

(OOC: Waiting on the super-hero and the super-witch. Up early for SP.)
