Of Greek Weddings and Thanksgiving
ALRIGHT. First things first, before a minute spazz, an announcement/cry for help!
I am taking a speech class, for which I need to write a ceremonial, or special occasion speech. My outline and drafts need to be handed in next week, and I still haven't chosen a topic because asdf I don't know what to do. It can be anything- introductory, a toast, a roast, a eulogy, an acceptance speech, congratulatory, or a wedding speech- and for some reason I really like that last one. But it has to be for somebody famous, somebody everybody knoes. Dabbled with the idea of doing Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy's wedding briefly, then doing a marriage of Greek Gods. Possibly Persephone and Hades. Did they even have a wedding? Oh, who cares?
The problem is that none of my ideas are clicking and I need a new one, fast. Something about someone that everyone knows, but someone interesting. No historical figures. I reeeeeeeeeeally need suggestions, so if you have any, please help!
That said. Anyone who has kept in touch recently (you know who you are), thank you. You have no idea how much it means and helps.
I also have about five more series to watch. Goody. I've already seen Angelic Layer and part of Kare Kano, but Chobits is new (yes, it really is!) and so are Mantenei Ragnarok Loki and Hikaru no Go. Oh, and Gundam Seed, so six. And I need to Savers Marathon and Pretear Marathon and watch DNAngel and Pita Ten and augh. >.<;;; Maybe I shouldn't have dvdraped Fluffy so bad but but so much good stuff. I will be busy, I guess.
I am going to Anime Boston. I haven't figured out how yet, exactly, but I will. It's fate, dammit, and you cannot argue with fate. Of course, suggestions for that would be nice too.
Congratsu, Reka. I am not sure I want to continue Yoshino because I'm all scared of screwing her up, but I was speeding through some Pretear last night and had the idea of doing Mannen dammit why? Oh, and I just found out someone had already done him, which would make it even more awkward which is good so why am I annoyed? *headdesk* Just breathe and remember I am lightyears behind in Gaia and I'll be okay.
