You may think you know, but you have no idea
No one really knows any better than anyone else what the rhyme or reason to life is. Nothing is clear, nothing is constant, and life is full of surprises. Sometimes you'll burn yourself, and sometimes you'll find heaven on earth...in the end, the journey is worth it. Life is bland if you never take chances, if you never take a risk. Everyone has an opinion about how things should be done, but in the end, there is no method, there's no set of directions on how to live and what constitutes the "smart" thing to do. So all we have is ourselves and what we think and feel, if we betray that to do what others (sometimes even yourself) declare as the "smart" thing, we're really not living at all.
