"we've got to get out of this place..."
So the US govt. participates in kidnapping and holding hostage the democratically elected president of Haiti, along with his wife. So that's been known for a while, although NO ONE SEEMS TO GIVE A CRAP. I keep hearing more of this story and it's sick. I don't want to write it all down, but I think it's just yet another revelation that this government (and not just Bush, but most of them) is sick with greed and lust for power. The cost will eventually be everything, but for right now, there are just more and more restrictions on everything, and more and more information gathering.
One of the scariest things is the new air travel regulation. If people with a history of violent crime are not allowed to fly anymore (which is just around the corner) then who's next? Will the two people who poured their own blood on the Pentagon building to protest the war on Iraq also be prevented???? Intellectuals and protesters are usually the first to go.....I'm rambling now but it's scary. The right to free travel is one that I'm not sure I can live without. How will we get out when the shit really hits the fan? Mexico and Canada will close their borders and shoot on sight, because, what have we done for them lately??? OK, I might be talking out of my ass but is it really that out there!???
