Sungmin hadn't expected Heechul and Hankyung back so soon, but the door clicking open made him perk up from where he was half curled into Zhou Mi's lap, the by now familiar scent hitting his nose. "Well, seems like this time Hankyungie is the one who brought back a surprise for us." He grinned, giving the other man a slight poke to the stomach when he hummed in approval before sitting up fully, waiting for Hankyung to enter the living room.

He didn't quite understand why Kyuhyun would come here again even if he had managed to run away a second time - Heechul's apartment was the first place Kibum would look at after last time. But he certainly wasn't complaining.

That confusion was quickly cleared up though, with one look at Hankyung's sullen face and the blankness in Kyuhyun's eyes. Perhaps it was a present from Heechul instead, then. It was so like the older vampire to simply put the boy under his spell and sending him here while he went off to deal with other matters. Sungmin snorted. "Did you find Ryeowook?"

Their newest clan member scowled at the question, looking at Kyuhyun from the corner of his eyes, "Heechul's picking him up right now," and Sungmin caught from his reaction that the other boy was made to tell him all about his whereabouts. Meaning he was likely at Kibum's place. He felt a frown tugging at the corners of his lips, quickly disguising it into one of his sweetest smiles. If Heechul went alone it meant he was in no danger either and they could just discuss this once the older vampire got home.

"I'm going to my room," Hankyung added and Sungmin's brows shot up in surprise, "tell Heechul to at least stop making my friends do things they are unwilling to do, even if he keeps getting into my mind."

Leaving Kyuhyun alone with them? That was a new one, he didn't think the younger man would trust them this far. But the door to Hankyung's room - Heechul's, really - slammed shut before he could even say a word. Instead he turned a questioning look towards Zhou Mi.

But his lover only offered a shrug before a small groan sounded from behind him, Kyuhyun apparently pulled back to his senses by the noise.

"Why do these people insist on mindraping me," the tone of his voice was flat even as his eyes started to clear up and Sungmin could almost feel Zhou Mi's sheepish smile - he couldn't stop himself from grinning at those words either. It was definitely not the reaction a usual person would have to his mind being invaded and made to do things he didn't even want.

It only intrigued him further.

"And here I was thinking that was limited to my dearest sire." Sungmin leaned back into Zhou Mi's arms as the younger vampire took some space for himself on the couch, seemingly unperturbed by their presence.

"Actually," Zhou Mi's voice was gentle as he spoke, to the untrained listener it would sound like he didn't want to anger Kyuhyun any further, "it's possible to resist them if you set your mind to it."

Kyuhyun's head all but whipped around to face them and Sungmin knew then and there that his lover had the boy hooked. A childe resisting his sire's bond was far from unheard of. It required a strong mind, of course, but with how the other had managed to escape a second time within such a short time span it definitely wouldn't be impossible. Kyuhyun seemed headstrong enough. And oh, he could just imagine Kibum's face once he noticed he couldn't just make the boy do whatever he liked anymore. It would be priceless.

Sungmin could have kissed Zhou Mi right there for planting the idea into Kyuhyun's head, but he restrained himself. This game had to be played carefully.

"He's right, you know," he added, carefully examining the emotions flickering across the younger vampire's face, "It's a little different with Heechul, since he has this annoying innate ability of mindfuck, but breaking the bond with your sire is somewhat less difficult." Kyuhyun's eyes narrowed at them and Sungmin's smile only widened.

"Why would you even tell me this?"

He didn't even have to think about how to answer that one, "To annoy Kibum, of course. I'm sure he likes you having to answer his every whim." Sungmin thought for a moment. "To repay the favour you can tell us what's gotten into Hankyung this time."

The hand Zhou Mi had been resting on his hip tightened for a moment and Sungmin himself was unsure whether the boy would not plainly refuse to answer that. He was surprised though, when Kyuhyun answered almost immediately, "He and Heechul ran into Siwon. I'm sure you can imagine how well that went after you guys killed him and all." An eyebrow was raised very pointedly and Kyuhyun fell silent after that. As if he had nothing more to say to them.

And he didn't, not really. Sungmin did not need a very vivid imagination to visualize how that meeting went. Neither did Zhou Mi, judging from the repeated tensing of the hand on his hip.

"Well. That explains this," he muttered.

"I think we should agree to it," said Donghae as they finally decided to head back to their apartment after a long night of searching for more clues. The name Kibum had been new, but they hadn't had any luck with it-- yet, at least. They weren't going to give up on that after just one night, that was for certain. But this new... development, if Siwon were to call it that, was too difficult to even process, let alone believe. Vampires? It was so laughable, Siwon didn't even know why he was even considering it as a possibility.

"I don't think it's a good idea."

"What? Why not? They said they would help Hankyung and Kyuhyun!" Donghae looked as if he had not even considered turning down the offer, and he couldn't understand why Siwon would want to. What Siwon wouldn't give for that kind of innocence and trust, sometimes.

"Because, Donghae, vampires--" Siwon had to force himself to say the word. "-- don't exist. I know what you thought you saw, but... maybe we were just too shocked at finally seeing him again, it was just your mind playing tricks on people."

Donghae stopped in his tracks, gaping at Siwon. "Then what about their teeth? What about your cross? What about those two people with the guns?"

"I... don't know," supplied Siwon lamely. He didn't. Too many pieces fit too well together, but not matter what, it was all too impossible. And those other two... how could they trust two random strangers with guns that happened to show up just a little too conveniently? They were probably just waiting for prey to trick into believing whatever they wanted them to believe or something.

"If you don't know, then don't just rule out everything! You wanted leads, and now we have them," replied Donghae.

Siwon sighed, running a hand through hair that was now long overdue for a cut. "I also thought I wanted to find Hankyung again, but now..." Had it been worth it? All of this searching to find out that at least Hankyung was alive-- but with another man, roaming the city. Looking miserable. It broke Siwon's heart, and as much as before he just wanted to have Hankyung back with him... he just didn't know what to think anymore. But he at least had to find out what had happened. To both Hankyung and to Kyuhyun.

"Okay. Let's say that maybe I'm the crazy one, and that vampires really do exist, and that somehow Hankyung has managed to be turned into one. Do you really think those people would help us?" asked Siwon. Even getting himself to say that much had been difficult. "If they really are vampire hunters, then wouldn't they want to kill Hankyung?"

Donghae frowned, as if he hadn't thought about that yet. "But they told us they would help us find Hankyung and Kyuhyun, not kill them."

"And you so readily trust strangers?" A third voice floated past them, causing Siwon to nearly jump out of his skin. Resting against a wall as if he'd been waiting for them to pass was a boy who couldn't have been older than eighteen, dressed dark enough to almost blend into the shadows.

"Who are you?" Siwon had had his fill of strangers already tonight, but something told him this meeting might give them even more new information.

"Henry." Another foreigner, then. Maybe the mafia wasn't such a crazy idea anymore; at least it made more sense then vampires. Although Siwon swore when the boy had spoken his teeth had been so similar to fangs... maybe Donghae was infecting Siwon with his insane.

"Are you a vampire, too? What did you do to Kyuhyun and Hankyung?" Siwon had to reach out to restrain Donghae from doing anything stupid. This boy looked far too young and innocent to have hurt his friends, but Siwon was slowly learning to reevaluate how he viewed everything now. And there was no telling what could happen anymore.

The small chuckle that Henry let out was enough to piss Siwon off, however. Was he laughing at them? "I didn't do anything to them, I can tell you that much. And I can also tell you that those two hunters you met earlier? They will do something to them." Which was exactly what Siwon was afraid of, supposing that all of this was true.

"How can we trust you? You're just as much of a stranger as they were," Donghae stepped in.

"You can't," Henry replied simply. "But if you don't want your friends to get any more harmed than they already are, just don't agree to help the hunters. That's all it takes."

Just as Henry said that, he was gone. Siwon felt very much like banging his head on the nearest wall for the all of the new information he had to process. New names, new developments, this whole vampire idea that Donghae and everyone else around him seemed so set on... Siwon had the feeling he wouldn't be getting any sleep for the next few nights.

Heechul was neither particularly weak, nor was Ryeowook heavy in any shape or form - hell, the boy seemed practically made out of skin and bone now that he had to carry him around - but he was nonetheless glad when he finally arrived his apartment. Not only had he sent Hankyung there on his own, which was a risk in itself, he had also been accompanied by Kyuhyun. And while he didn't doubt that Sungmin and Zhou Mi would get the message to keep the boy right where he was, he had proven to be quite crafty in escaping.

Then again, he had escaped from Kibum, and half the other vampire's clan was completely incompetent.

Heechul huffed, adjusting Ryeowook in his arms while he climbed the stairs. They really needed to persuade the landlord into repairing the god damn lift. Perhaps he would get to that tomorrow. Or later tonight. That particular human was really easy to manipulate into doing Heechul's bidding and it was about time for repairs to be done anyway. He refused to live in a house that was any less than perfect, especially if it resulted in having to climb multiple flights of stairs, the dead weight of one of his clan members in his arms.

Really, this wouldn't do.

He huffed again, setting Ryeowook's limp form down on the landing and fished out his cell phone, quickly punching in a number.

"Yah! Get down here right now and help me carry Ryeowook up," was all he said before disconnecting the call and crouching down next to the younger vampire to wait.

Ryeowook looked abnormally pale, and from what Kyuhyun had told them it was no wonder. Beaten within an inch of his life - or un-life, was it was - and then left to bleed to death. He supposed the other clan had actually expected some sort of thank you for rescuing him. He snorted. As if he would ever express gratitude towards one of Kibum's in any shape or form.

Naturally they had saved him, that clan practically consisted of big softies who couldn't bear to see even one of the enemy clan die. Plus, it had been Yesung who had found the boy, and if he had observed correctly - of course he had, he was Kim Heechul - then the boy had a thing for Ryeowook. Or perhaps just wanted in his pants, but really, they basically amounted to the same thing.

As if Ryeowook would let him.

Heechul rolled his eyes when he finally heard footsteps approach, Zhou Mi rounding the corner no ten seconds later. "Took you long enough," he muttered, gesturing at Ryeowook's limp body, "carry him up for me."

If the other man's blood had still been flowing, he was sure Zhou Mi would have paled at the sight. Of course, he thought, he was still young and had probably never seen another vampire in this state before. He snorted. "He's not dead, Seasoning. Now will you get him or do I really have to do all the work by myself?"

It seemed to snap the other man out of it as he gave a start, crouching down to carefully lift Ryeowook in his arms. Much better.

"Sorry I'm so late, we were kind of... preoccupied." Zhou Mi muttered, falling into step beside Heechul.

He had to bite back a grin. "I suppose you and Minnie liked the present I sent you then?" There was the distinct strangled sound of Zhou Mi being embarrassed by something he said could be heard right after the words left Heechul's mouth and he didn't bother to hide his grin anymore. "Wanting to share him... that's decidedly kinky, you know. Though I don't blame you, with that voice I'd be extremely tempted to find out what he sounds like screaming himself raw with pleasure. If I didn't have Hannie anyway."

His voice had dropped to a suggestive whisper while speaking and he practically leered at Zhou Mi. "From what Sungminnie said he tastes rather delicious too."

Heechul could tell he was getting to the other and it only served to spur him on further. Seeing how he sent his clan members such a nice present Heechul figured he deserved to get some jabs in, especially since Hankyung still wouldn't let him touch. And he was not known for his patience.

"Did you know Kibum hasn't even laid a finger on the boy yet? Imagine, being quite possibly his first," he purred, fishing out the apartment keys, "and right now he's all yours for the taking." Heechul finished with a grin, pushing Zhou Mi through the door.

The younger vampire was quiet, of course. It wouldn't do to talk back to him, even though Heechul knew he was being impossible. "You can thank me later for providing rather delicious mental images," he added as if on afterthought, striding into the living room where - as expected - Sungmin and Kyuhyun were both waiting for him. Kyuhyun was looking at the hand creeping up his thigh rather exasperated, but that quickly gave way to an expression of bored indifference as he eyes Heechul up and down.

"I see you've found it here without problems, Kyuhyunnie," he puckered his lips, blowing the young vampire a kiss, only to be rewarded by a snort, "Yes, with the directions you gave me it was hard to miss."

Heechul grinned. This was a witty one, and he could see why Kibum would turn him, even. Still, the fact remained, that he was one of the other man's clan, and therefore the enemy, however unwilling. But he would let that slide for the moment.

"I'll bring Ryeowook to his room," Zhou Mi called from the hallway, causing both Heechul and Sungmin to sober up quickly.

"Apparently he was attacked," Heechul muttered, "and not by any of Kibum's clan."

--

Siwon. Siwon. Siwon. The man was all he could think about, and it was driving him crazy. He had wanted to bite him, to drink from him, to potentially kill him. Han Geng could recognize that feeling so clearly within himself now, and he couldn't push it away from his thoughts, not any more. He wanted Siwon, in a way that was far more than sexual. Although the way Heechul had teased him about it, maybe it was a bit of both...

Han Geng groaned, burying his face in a pillow. What had he done to deserve any of this? He had led a good life, he was certain. He had been nice, helpful, filial to his mother, loyal to Siwon. He gave to charity when he had the money, volunteered when he had the time. Before all this, his biggest worry had been passing his impossible Korean literature class, and now he had to deal with wanting to drink the blood of his ex-boyfriend. He must have gone wrong somewhere. Or perhaps he had done something terrible in a past life that he was only just now paying for.

"Yah, what are you doing?" Han Geng wasn't surprised when the door slammed open and Heechul came barging in, demanding attention, as usual. He was like a puppy sometimes, only far less cute and crude to the extremes. Nothing he wanted to deal with right now. But then, Heechul would know that.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" He barely bothered lifting his head from the pillow it was buried in, the words coming out muffled. Why couldn't the man leave him alone for once? But no, it was Heechul, of course he needed attention right now, and his own conflicting emotions be damned. Han Geng grit his teeth, thoughts returning to what had happened. Siwon would have noticed, surely, and with that it was over for good. As if god-fearing Choi Siwon would ever give the time of the day to some freak of nature like him. And it was better that way. He never wanted to hurt his ex-boyfriend, and Han Geng was fairly sure he would not be able to stop himself if he came across Siwon again.

The thought alone was frightening.

"Aish, do you plan on moping around forever?" The slap to his backside was far from light and Han Geng turned around in an instant, staring at Heechul incredulously.

"Don't hit me!"

Heechul smirked, leaning in close. "I'll do whatever I want to you. You are my childe, you know."

Han Geng's fist balled up in the sheets of the bed in an effort to not just reach out and punch Heechul across his smug face. "I'm not yours, Heechul."

"Oh? You aren't Siwon's anymore, either." Heechul's face was suddenly far too close to his, lips all but brushing against his own in a semblance of intimacy. Han Geng had to turn his head away as a sick feeling rose up in his stomach. The red-head only laughed at him. "If you're still filled with as much desire as you were when we ran into Siwon earlier, I'm more than willing to help you out with that."

Not even a full second passed before Heechul was reeling backwards, a hand clutched at face as he stared at Han Geng with the most shocked looked the Chinese man had ever seen on him. Heechul's expression echoed Han Geng's own, as he stared at his hand, the contact between his fist and Heechul's cheek having left his hand smarting. "Shit, what did I just do..."

"You punched me, that's what you did." The anger that Han Geng expected to see from Heechul had faded almost instantly, replaced with his usual smirk. "I like it."

Han Geng felt his stomach churn at the way Heechul was looking at him. "I've never punched anyone before. I've never..." Been a monster before, his mind supplied, but he couldn't get the words out. He was really turning into one of them now, he could feel it in the blood cravings and his shortening temper, in the way that maybe he wouldn't mind so much relieving some of his tension that way Heechul had suggested.

Heechul's smirk widened into a full out grin. "You're finally making progress, huh? Congrats." The red-head took a seat next to him on the bed, more gently and keeping his distance, as if he'd already got his point across and didn't need to tease any further. "So you'll finally come out hunting with us, right?"

There was only a moment of hesitation before Han Geng muttered a "No" and turned to the pull the covers of the bed over his head, shutting Heechul out.
