So we are back. School is school, the books are biting, and there is to be Quidditch again. To be honest I wouldn't have minded that much but Seamus was dreadfully upset and when he is worrying about Quidditch he doesn't pay as much attention to, well, other things, so I am glad the Headmaster changed his mind. It's also nice to be warm and toasty inside again, with Seamus all pleased with me for staying by his side throughout the entire thing. Very nice actually.

Parvati, I am glad I let you and my mum convince me to stay in Divination. I may not have the Sight, and I guess I'll never be a prophetess, but my mum told me there is a Ministry department devoted to interpreting prophecy and I am brilliant at that. Anyway, Professor Trelawney always has interesting things to teach, and as far as every day stuff my Inner Eye is working fine. The cards told me this morning that today I was in for a surprise and sure enough Daddy sent me an owl I wasn't expecting! He sent the most lovely scarf and I think I will take to using it to tie up my hair; I hope Professor McGongall doesn't tell me to take it out like she did that one time when we had those butterfly barrettes- remember those? He also told me I ought to keep my distance from the Slytherins, especially Parkinson, and I told him not to worry because I learnt my lesson when I tried to make my condolences to her and Malfoy was so grouchy about the whole thing! Still, it was strange of him to make a point to say so, and I do wonder what it was all about.

Speaking of Daddy, Seamus, I wanted to tell you he also sent along a package of my mum's biscuits so obviously he's gotten over that whole incident. I told you not to worry. He's still funny about your dad but I suspect he'll get over that too.
