Oh my goodness, my summer hols have been so busy that I completely forgot all about this little book until I was looking for my favourite pair of socks and it jumped out and tried to attack me. Guess I haven't been writing in it as much as it would like. I haven't even been reading it, really, so you can imagine how shocked I was when I read all ( Read more... )

Seamus, it severely mussed my hair. It had to be attended to!

I'll be down as fast as I can. I still haven't found the socks I wanted. You haven't hidden them, have you?

It didn't! It knows your weaknesses, Lav. That's the trouble with diaries of any sort.

Now, why would I hide your socks...? I mean, maybe if they were interesting and cute socks I might be tempted...

It did. I looked a mess, I tell you. I've repaired myself though.

I have no idea why you would hide my socks, btu perhaps you have, since I can't find them anywhere. They are awfully cute, which is why they are my favourites. They're purple with silver stars on. Have you seen them? Perhaps you ought to come help me look, or I'll tell your mum about your sock pinching habits.

That's a relief then. I'd hate to have to see journal-induced snarls.

You sure you can't find them anywhere? I imagine they would be right where you left them. Purple with stars... purple with stars... they do sound vaguely familiar.

I think I shall have to come look because I can't bear to have you tattle on me. TO MY MUM!!

I am always perfectly coiffed for you, Seamus.

If I had found them, don't you think I would be downstairs with you? Honestly, Seamus. Unless you are using them to lure me downstairs...

OI, not tattling! I just think she might like to be alerted that her son has a... a... SOCK FETISH!

That cannot be denied.

But why would I need to lure you? You would come down on your own, yes?...

A FETISH!? I DO NOT HAVE A FESTISH. Not a sock one. I mean, NO FETISHES YOU CANNOT TELL MY MUM ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you approve.

Not without my lucky socks, I won't.

Oooh, you soooo do. And I will tell your mum unless you come up here and persuade me not to.

Well then. We can't have that.

I DO NOT! ... ... Will the socks be included in the persuasion?

No. My feet would be cold.

Perhaps, so long as they are not mussed in the process.

AND YOU TOTALLY DO!

In that case I think I've been persuaded to come upstairs to persuade you to come downstairs.

I shall have to make you pay for these lies and rumours.

Well now I can't come downstairs because I am dealing with a very RUDE PERSON. This is so exasperating when I'm already suffering from cold feet.

I've noticed. Malfoy has become more of an arse in the past week and I never thought that was possible. Try to ignore him, you were right to say that to Pansy.

I'm on my way up to warm up your feet.

I just can't ever say the right thing. Next time someone's family is killed, I shall simply ignore it!

Okay.

You can - people just get upset and are sensitive about these things. Plus, he's a Slytherin and a Malfoy.

You'll hear me on the stairs in a minute.

Well, I give up, at least in this case.

Oh, and there you are.
