Rembering Chad
Fraf's memorial is in 2 Saturdays. There will be a memorial in the morning and then a party that night (his wishes). So I will go to Ft Worth and participate in the celebration of life of my friend Chad "Fraf" Percy.
It's so crazy to think that I've known him since I was 15 or 16- that's quite a long time. We became friends from just hanging out in "the scene" in Ft Worth. It wasn't a very big one so he wasn't hard to miss. We became friends, he dated my then best friend. We worked back in the kitchen together at the Split Atom Cafe. He worked w/me the night of Marilyn Manson's afterparty. He thought it was all too funny and he found the rolled up dollar bill that someone on the tourbus dropped on their way in.
When I lived on James Ave he lived across the alley and he'd come over and we'd just hang out. We went dumpster diving once to make some soup b/c I had no food.
The last time I saw him was when I lived in Ft Worth, not too long before I moved to Austin. He was working the door and I'd go up and just hang out and talk to him.
Didn't think it hurt this much to lose a friend. There truly was no one like him.
Goodbye Chad, you always were a rambler. Love you and will miss you.
