Holy CRAP is this guy hitting all the right buttons on my songwriter/performer assessment-testing machine. It's like folky/soft-rock nerdcore. He has licensed his sings with the standard AT-NC-SA CC license, and several good ones are available on his site. Link to... I would say my favorites, but each one I've heard is my fav so far.
