Belated Promming

Prom was fantasmic.

Despite thinking we were lost numerous times (Gareth sucks at map reading) we actually arrived on time, solving the age old question "how many teenagers does it take to read a map?" (five, in case you were wondering).

So, in we went, and joined the long twisting lineup to take pictures. Most of them looked great, and I got my lovely shot with my wifey. XD. Gareth decided that people looked better when they actually smiled or laughed in photos, and took to making funny faces or doing wacky things behind the photographer's head. Needless to say, when the photographer figured out he was doing something, he wasn't happy.

And then the waiting. With the boredom. The dinner was supposed to start at like, 7, but didn't and so I sat at the table downing cokes that tasted like coloured water. It was hell. Why serve coke if you're not going to serve the real thing? I'm just sayin.

Finally the food comes around and it's ... interesting. To say the least. The best part of the meal was the cheese-pasta thing. I think Lincoln and H.J. ended up eating almost my entire meal - seem familiar Chris? =P.

The "games" were alright, the same sorta thing they did for semi a couple of years ago, although H.J. winning chocolate made my night. (mmm... chocolate...) Tuyen won best dressed girl, which is fantastic, she MADE her dress, it was the height of cool.

Then the dancing started, and the shoes came off. Dances always kinda suck, because I'm always really self concious and need my friends to be with me to back me up. But Prom - well, I knew alot of people there, but I didn't really want to intrude, and spent alot of time at my tiny table drinking coke. I'm not addicted I swear. The highlight of my dancing was the slow dances with Lindsay, and our semi-drunken singing. We also turned in cirlces WAY too fast, getting both of us dizy, and had my chest covered in blue sparkle thingies by the end. Thanks Lindsay =P.

The drive home was alot less eventfull than the first, and was a mostly silent drive (I was trying not to think about what Gareth and Erica were doing in the trunk - bad mental karma). We got to Gareth's all right and started watching movies and knocking back a few drinks. Finally, three o'clock came, and it was time for yours truely to crawl back home.

All in all, it was a good night, and I hope that next year will be as good, or better!
(having a date would be nice too)
