Baby, it's cold outside

After my last two complain-y entries, it's probably a good idea to post an update.

In the sad news front, I lost my Aunt Nancy in October. At this point, I'm my mom's last surviving blood relative, which must be a tough thing for her. My cousin, her husband, and son are pretty close to us, so it's not like she has no family left. That helps, I think.

On a more positive note, I started a new job November 19th with Energy Outreach Colorado. It's a nonprofit that helps low-income families and other non-profits pay their energy bills and do energy-efficiency upgrades on their buildings. It's been going well so far, with the exception of one of the employees rage-quitting within a few weeks of me starting (nothing to do with me, as far as I can tell). It's been a little tough trying to fill in the gap and cover all his work, but we're getting it figured out. As of March, I'll start receiving benefits, which will save me more than $200 a month on my medical insurance. I'm going to try to move into an apartment or condo in March, as well.

I think that's about it for now. Last entry, I complained about not having a good job, still living at home with my parents, and being single. Now two out of the three are solved/will be solved. We'll see about the third, I guess. :)
