Professional Puker
Friday I decided I wanted to put in a half day because I had to take care of a few things that needed to go to the galleries, plus I didn't want to leave my co-worker alone with her workload. In the end I got into a fight via email with another co-worker because she tried to overstep her expertise and tell a gallery what they needed to do when it was ultimately my decision to make for them. Mind you I was only supposed to be there til about 3pm. I barely made a dent what I needed to do because I was so busy fighting with this woman that I was at work til 5pm. I was supposed to go shopping with a friend that day and didn't end up showing up for that til 6pm.
So after I calmed down and left work I went to Union Square to meet up with my friend Matia. He was busy buyin it up at Macy's. We both felt like some retail therapy. After Macy's we headed over to Urban Outfitters. I've never been able to find anything worth throwing down more than 20$ for. Ultimately we ended up spending 2 and a half hours at UO while he tried on TONS of things. I've never shopped with a guy who had to try on *everything* he picked up. They usually know what they're looking for. After this exhausting trip we were hungry and opted for Cheesecake Factory. The meal as always was disappointing. It's what happened after the meal that made it memorable. I went to use the bathroom after we paid for our meal. As I walk into the stall, I hear that tell tale 'plop' noise that we all dread. I looked down to the stall next to me and to my surprise, the girl's feet are pointed *towards* the toilet. I listen a little more closely and realize she's quietly puking into the toilet! I have a professional puker next to me!
Ok so after that we figure, we don't have work tomorrow, what else is there to do? Nothing other than the dli show. We head over there to catch a bit of dli's set. Never disappointing! Always a fun show. Since we still have energy to burn we hopped over to DNA to girl watch for drunk asian girls at Remedy. Surprisingly there really weren't any.....LOTTA drunk white girls though. But ya seen one, ya seen em all. We got bored of this and hung out at Mikee's hangout til bout 4am and called it a night.
Saturday I went to see Ratatouille with
agntprovocateur and monkey. OMG. This movie actually had a good plot, dialogue, funny and cute! Afterwards we went to Stonestown for food and I bought an ipod. Yes, I'm now a pod person. It's a terrible thought but I'm tired of constantly buying batteries, then I have to charge them over and over. Plus now I can store all my cds under my bed instead of having them lay all over my room. After that I went to
mechagojira and
childewolf's place for the LAST MOVIE NIGHT?!?!?! If I wasn't so tired last night I would've come back with something but I just couldn't. I'm so glad I got to see the sequel to the Turkish Star Wars. The original was my very first movie night over there and it felt like it came full circle with this one. Thanks guys, I had a lot of fun last night and every other night that I came.
Today, it's a day of laying around and watching movies. I can't wait.
