I...see. [She's telling this lie a lot on the boat o_O]
Me and my mother lived in a small one bedroom apartment back home. It was mmm...muy pequeño...very small, yes? Not much room. Home was dark, always dark. Going to the surface means you die, so we see no sun or oceans. It is nice here, to be able to see the sky for the first time.
Damn, and I thought my world was messed up. [He picks up on the Spanish and smiles a bit... that's one of the couple languages he can speak pretty well. He sticks to English for now though.] At least we've still got our sky.
So what did you guys use for an energy source or light source?
I do not know what happened to this notif :|dormant_beastDecember 29 2009, 13:37:24 UTC
Ah, you are lucky. We live beneath the surface. It is too dangerous to go above.

Geothermal power, yes? We use the energy of the earth. There are underground rivers we can use as well, but mostly what we can extract from the heat stored in the ground.

It is not so nice, but it is home, yes? It is all I know.

I'm not used to that. The 'home,' part... I didn't really stay in one place for long. Is it really different from here?
