Fightin' for fun is a waste of fuckin' time. What's that teach you? You either fight for real'n learn or you're just playing.

Hey, thanks.

It doesn't teach you much... but if that's all you can find, it keeps you good and ready for the real fights.

Gotta say, the practice ones aren't nearly as... [Okay that would sound kinda wrong.] ...good. It was a damned lot easier to find real ones back where I come from.

[Which is why Kage generally doesn't spar. If he thinks he needs practice in fighting, he'll just go out and pick a fight.]

Kiddo, I'm First Mate so I am in no way encouragin' you to go out'n get some action in that way, but I'm just sayin' that fights here happen.

That I'm used to. Couldn't get in and out of settlements sometimes without knocking my way through someone.

Yeah, well, here we don't got any territory that belongs t'one group or the other--save the crew, of course--but there's plenty'a alliances. Shit, if you're lookin' for a fight, just go beat the shit outta one'a th'kids. You'll have plenty of excitement then.

Yeah... figures there would be. Knocking some kids around doesn't sound like my kinda thing, though. I'll just wait until some asshole gets in my way.
