Who: Rin Okumura, Kouki
What: Add +1 slightly irritated half demon to mix, stir vigorously...
When: January 8th, Afternoon
Where: Neon City
"Look... I like you, okay? You're cool. But I don't need a damn babysitter..."
"I'm not a babysitter, I'm a partner! YOUR partner, Rin!"
The argument had been going on in the lobby of the Hyperion for quite some time. Half demon versus Tachemon, bickering on what was basically a small detail taking far out of proportion. Ty was insistent she join Rin everywhere he went, and not just because she'd heard from his brother that Rin had a bit of a temper and a tenancy to wander in to trouble, but Rin was just as insistent that he didn't need to be watched constantly.
Of course that wasn't the point of a partner, not completely anyway, but damned if his stubbornness made it so he refused to listen.
"I don't care! You don't have to be at my heel 24/7, okay? Just let me go out on my own for once! I've been here long enough t' figure out how this shit works!" Rin stated, waving his D-Comm in her face as if that was the end all, be all resolution to her perceived paranoia.
Ty smacked the D-Comm away with her paw, glaring at the young boy.
"You're being ridiculous."
"I'm being ridiculous?!"
"Yes! I'm going with you! That's final!"
Rin scowled even a Ty moved to leave, likely intending to trail after him no matter where he went or what he insisted on doing. He glanced towards one of the doors attached to the lobby that he knew led to the large full service kitchen that was used by staff and residents alike. Yukio had shown it to him on his first day, and he'd made good use of it since then, making bento lunches for Bon and Yukio. It also had a very large walk in freezer that was difficult to open if you couldn't reach the inside latch.
Rin grinned wickedly, and had he horns that weren't made of only flames normally, they would have curled to match it. He reached down and grabbed Ty, causing her to squeal and demand loudly to know just what the hell he was doing. He didn't answer until he reached the freezer and promptly deposited her inside.
"RIN! DON'T YOU DARE!"
"I'll be back for you later," he answered, closing the door behind himself. He dusted his hands off, satisfied that he'd managed to ditch Ty for the day. She was a fire type, it wasn't like she couldn't keep herself warm, which was the only reason he ignored her screams and fists banging on the inside of the door.
He left the Hyperion then, sword slung over his shoulder as it always, still slightly irritated that his day had started out that way but looking forward to just getting a chance to be alone for the first time in weeks.
After all... what could go wrong?
