It had been a year since their first date, just weeks after they'd first met the day before Halloween, and Suoh had started living with him in his tiny apartment in Tetha. He'd never had a relationship that was more than the occasional comfort found with sleeping with another person. But Suoh really was a knight in shining armour. The older boy had stayed at the hospital with him that first day, and after that, Quatre couldn't think of a day he hadn't seen him. And Quatre was perfectly content with that.
Dim sunlight was still managing to filter through the floor to ceiling windows in the living room. Quatre had been watching the light slowly fade while picking away slowly at his homework. Looking at the clock on the wall, it willed it to move faster so Suoh would be home. They'd decided to just order take-out and curl up on the couch together with movies for the night. Azrak leapt up onto the couch and pawed at his leg. She had learned very quickly how to get what she wanted. Shaking his head, Quatre stretched his legs and got up, bringing his empty coffee cup and his textbook along with him. He got Azrak her dinner first, then poured himself a fresh cup of coffee and leaned against the counter, skimming a paragraph on British literature for the fourth time.
