The city of Neon felt alien to Vyse, even after all the time he'd been in the digital world. It wasn't that he thought that it was a bad thing, it was just that the maze of steel spires and glistening lights were completely unlike the sorts of things he'd known back home. Not even the grandest of cities had anything quite like this.
Nevertheless, that didn't distract him, as he and his partner made their way through the city's backalleys. What were they doing there?
Well, they were pirates, but they were still Blue Rogues. They went after those that could fend for themselves afterwards, or the lowest of the low - in the case of the latter, for a bounty. And that's what Vyse was doing... pursuing a bounty, for the sake of bringing some money to the crew for the sake of Gilder and the others. And they were closing in on their prey...
As Vyse and Pow, the Labramon, stood quietly, the brown-haired pirate looked out from behind the corner. Their search had led them here... the hunting grounds of a Duskmon who'd been eliminating members of Neon's underworld. As Vyse understood it, even DATS had it out for this guy... so Vyse would be helping more than just the semi-dubious types by stopping him.
And there Duskmon was, his blade pressed against a rather terrified-looking Gekomon's throat.
"I don't understand!" the Gekomon shrieked. "Wh-who are you?! Is this about the money...?! I swear, I haven't been holding anything back from The Penmon, I...!"
"I don't care what The Penmon may or may not want from you," the Duskmon said. "All I know is, that my blade thirsts for the data of the wicked like you... you will make a fine meal for Eroberung... yes you will..."
Vyse narrowed his eyes. He had to act now, or else this guy's victim was finished...
