Who: Alec, Daira, Rei, Dart, & Mitch What: Alec's going on a soon to end quest for his parentals~! When: August 9th, Afternoon Where: Goc Desert -> Neon City
"Hrg... I hate how hot it is here..." Daira muttered almost as soon as he and Kairi were on the other side of the light post.
"Why don't you take your hoodie off then?"
"Uhuhn. We're goin' back soon anyway, right?"
"Yeah... as soon as we find them."
Daira nodded in agreement, squinting in to the distance.
"... I don't think we're gonna have to look a lot," he said, pointing to the tree that Alec was in. Kairi turned his own attention there, the small digimon actually smirking a bit.
"I can tell his partner is going to have their hands full."
"... I don't really know. I'd kinda be afraid of falling. I've never climbed a tree before, though," Daira admitted with a shrug, turning back to the light post and touching the screen of his D-Comm to get the data back for Neon City.
"Light posts feel kinda funny when you go through 'em, so if you get dizzy just grab my arm or somethin'. 'kay?"
Looking up at Daira, Alec gave him a confused look. "You can't 'go through a lamp..."
Buwny squirmed in his arms and tried to get more comfortable. "We can transport instantly here by using the light post network. You'll understand it better once you've used it hun."
"That's okay," Daira insisted, managing a tiny smile to the younger boy, "You'll get used to it eventually."
With that, he turned to the light post and held up his D-Comm, stepping through while keeping a tight hold on Alec's hand all the way through. Soon enough they were on the other side, standing on a street in Neon City. The center of the city was some distance from where they were, but the change in scenery was very obvious.
Still holding Alec's hand, Dai was nearly pulled to the ground with him. He managed to let go before he wound up falling on top of the poor boy, though, and was able to kneel down next to him, putting a hand on his back.
"Kinda. Its called Neon City. I'm pretty sure your okaa-san is here."
"...if its kinda like London...then that's alright. I can handle that, since that's where my family lives..." Alec said as a little of the panic subsided. It seemed bigger in some ways. The buildings looked taller and very different from what he was used to. But Daira had asked if he trusted him, and he'd said yes, so he wasn't going to worry if Daira wasn't.
"Okay..." Daira said quietly, still worried but grateful that he was trying so hard to stay calm. He had a hard enough time dealing with just himself in such a weird world - he didn't need a panicked younger child making it more difficult.
He was quiet for a few blocks as they walked, just trying to absorb as much as he could.
"Daira...you talk kinda funny. Papa and Aren-ojisan say when people talk different its cause they've got a akusen...at least I think tha's what its called...do you have one?"
Daira kept his pace slow, hand still holding Alec's in order to keep him close and not get too far ahead of him.
"Akusen?" he echoed at the question, thinking it over for a few seconds while muttering the word to himself several times. Alec was mentioning he 'talked funny', so... "Accent?"
Nodding, Alec began to swing his and Daira's hands as they walked. "Uh huh. Papa says mine is all weird cause lots a different people are teaching me. And cause we've lived different places. Mona-neechan says some words in other languages without meaning too. Its funny to see the look on people's faces when she does that."
He looked down at his nightshirt and frowned. Sand had matted to the spot where blood had begun to drip down on him. He didn't like blood, it was sticky and smelt like their metal pipes. Alec just hoped that his sister was okay. But Monako had to be okay if Kaa-san and Papa were here.

"Oh! Please be careful Alec!"
He dropped to the ground and dusted himself off. Then he picked up Buwny and ran towards them.

"You always climb in trees like that?" he asked once Alec made it to them.
