Haku smiled as Miku started to come around, the white haired Vocaloid leaning over the table, still clad in her garage jumpsuit.

"Only a couple of hours. How do you feel?"

"Kinda weird, waiii ... it might be because my systems are still warming up, though." As if to emphasize her point, Miku brought a hand up to rub at her eyes a little bit, making a tiny groaning noise as she did so.

"Possibly..." Haku said, reaching out to tilt Miku's chin up with both hands, looking at her eyes closely. She took out a pen light, flicking it on and moving it across both eyes quickly.

"Responses are good, though."

"Mrrrr ..." She groaned, blinking and shaking her head a little.

"Ne, I think it's getting better now."

"Good. Just remember, you have to tell me if anything is out of the ordinary or doesn't feel right," Haku insisted, putting the pen light away. She pulled out a fairly standard laptop with a microphone attached to it. The screen displayed some sort of music program.

"Alright. Sing a quick scale for me, okay? Up and down."

Miku nodded, closing her eyes and beginning to sing up and down the scale as she was told to do.

Haku watched the screen closely. A pitch line followed Miku's voice as it carried to the mic. It seemed pretty spot on, if not for a little fluctuation here and there.

"Good. Looks like everything went through really well. Did you want to try singing a full song?"

"Ummm ... which one should I sing?" Miku asked, looking as though she were in thought as she asked the question.

No, the question was most definitely not whether or not Miku wanted to sing. It was which song she should sing.

Miku smiled and nodded.

"Okay! Anooo ...."

She thought for a few moments more before starting to sing.

Haku smiled and listened, tapping her foot along with the song as well as swaying a little. The program continued to register her voice, the line moving along the chart as the song went on.

When it was over, Haku turned the screen towards herself and took a look at it, nodding every few seconds thoughtfully.

"Good. You probably need to get used to it some. You were off in a couple of places, but otherwise I think this is definitely a step in the right direction!"

"We'll keep working on it, then! And when we know it's right, we can tell everyone else and upgrade them too, ne?"

"Exactly!" Haku said cheerfully, playfully poking Miku in the nose. "What would you think about opening the prom at the Hyperion?"

"Mhm. Lorne asked Rii-chan for help, but he came to me and asked if we wanted to do a couple of live spots in between Daisuke-kun's playlists that he's got set up."
