"What the-?!"

Card Queen was already inside, having identified this place based off of info gleaned from an earlier case. She and Phascomon took cover, and craned their heads up as Roxie made her appearance.

"Why am I not surprised...?" she said with a sigh.

Roxy was of coarse totally unaware of Card Queen as she dropped in and landed right ontop of one of the robot ninjas.

"Hello boys~" She called and rose to see every single robot in the build staring at her weapons raised.

Waaaaay more then she'd dealt with before.

There was a rush as the ends of their lasers began to glow ready to fire, she could feel her blood pumping, her heart racing.

"Aw, did someone call ahead? Or were you expecting me?" She teased and then sprang into the air firing a grapple as the lasers exploded the area she had just been standing in sending a pillar of flame that almost caught her as she swung over their heads.

Duela sighed, and slinked out of her hiding spot. This definitely complicated things.

"Phascomon," she said, "go help Roxy."

The koala nodded, and evolved in a flash of light, transforming into Monzaemon and leaping down, firing off his Heart Break Attack amidst the robots.

Duela, meanwhile, dashed off to try and find the information hub for this place.

Roxy was laughing all the way as she kicked and shot at the robots dodging as gracefully as a cat landing on one of the cross beams.

"Oh hey you brought a friend!" Roxy noticed seeing Monzaemon and misunderstanding. "Well more fun for all of us!" She switched her ammo and fired off a ball that exploded into a weighted net flying for the massive teddy bear.

Shooting first and asking questions later. That was way more fun.

"HEY!" shouted WaruMonzaemon, as he slashed the net to pieces. "It's me, Card Queen's partner!"

Meanwhile, Duela slipped into what looked like an office...

"Oh geeze, why didn't you say something?" She asked stepping off the rail as it exploded into liquid superheated metal. She landed on another robot and spun around knocking some more robots away as one grabbed her from behind. "HEY! Hands off!" She ordered and threw him over her shoulder. Maybe she had bitten off a bit too much this time...

The office looked like a standard shipping office but the computer screens were all focused on cameras surrounding the building and some sort of scanning radar.

And the moment the door closed...a heavy lock clicked into place.

WaruMonzaemon growled, and charged forward again, hacking and slashing with his Bear Claw, hoping to pull as many off of Roxy as possible before going for the one that grabbed her.

Duela looked up with a start, and drew one of her cards. She wasn't alone here...

The screens all flickered to one face, an all too familiar one.

"Good Evening "Card Queen." How nice of you to pay my operations a visit during our security tests. My executive security officer was worried he'd be bored this evening.

A panel on the floor opened and rising from the darkness Metal Phantomon appeared, his scythe crackling with dangerous pink energy.

"I had been saving him for the more destructive Miss Rocket, but you'll prove a much more worthy test of his abilities I think."

Another screen flickered to show WaruMonzaemon and Roxy struggling against the sheer numbers of Robots Slade had gathered to face them. WaruMonzaemon managed to free Roxy and now she stood at his back shooting and one of the fallen Ninja's heat blasters.

Duela's blood froze, and she growled. Her hands clenched around her weapons, and she glared at the Perfect digimon.

"Slade," she hissed. "You're the same as in any world... sending someone else to fight your battles for you..."

WaruMonzaemon roared in anger, and fired off another Heart Break Attack, the heart shaped energy wave firing in a wide burst.

"I won't deny making a logical choice in my tactics little girl." Slade's voice continued in it's dry fashion. "I hope you've made your peace with those you love."

With that signal Metal Phantomon lunged forward opening with a nightmare inducing Grave Scream.

Duela charged forward, her protect barrier blocking the effects of the Grave Scream. Her card slid into her sword hilt, and she attempted to clash it against MetalPhantomon's staff, and thereby conduct electricity through it and into him.

The electricity raced through the metal form and out through the pink orb of energy at the base of his spine. With a horrible cackle he sent it back up through his body faster adding his own force behind it and sending it out through the energy blade on his Scythe as he slashed. The blade grew longer, hotter and more dangerous.

"Shit..." Duela growled. She swapped the card out for another, and did a low dash, attempting to slip under MetalPhantomon and set fire to his cape somehow.

The cape did light ablaze and Metal Phantomon cackled flying circles around the room, letting the flames drift from shreds of his cape and resting on the walls or floor allowing the fire to spread.

"Oh didn't you know? The boss said we could bring this place down ontop of you." The Digimon chortled, and he stopped to glance at a monitor showing the fight downstairs. While Roxy and Duela's partner were holding their own the robots had indeed begun setting fire to the building at the exits.

Duela.

Duela grinned.

"Gee, who would'a thought that a villain would do whatever it took to take down a hero? Gee, I'm so surprised."

And with that, she realized something from her D-Reader: Octomon's ink gun. Which mounted on her arm and began spraying ink at MetalPhantomon, both onto his face and in a circle around him.

Highly flammable ink, which would serve to make the flames flare up in intensity around MetalPhantomon in particular.

And he screamed. He screamed so loud it split through the whole building...

"Hey listen!" Roxy stopped mid punch to do just that, "Sounds like pinky is in trouble!" She threw the robot she had been pummeling away and began dashing about looking for Duela.

She was of coarse...wrong. Metal Phantomon was screaming and then...he stopped and began to laugh. His cloak fell away burning and his metal skin was glowing white hot with heat.

"Nice try." He chuckled lashing out with the back of a flaming hand trying to knock Duela into the door.
