While Jake may be trying to blend in, Shadow found the cat man to stick out like a sore thumb in the ninja's opinion. Then again he was one to talk, although he is wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans it's Shadow's hair that stands out. Being blue with white bangs.

But that doesn't matter as he hops up onto the edge of the fountain, balancing on it as he makes his way towards Jake not actually saying anything even as he stops nearby and... Stares.

Jake was only unaware of Shadow for a moment before one of his scarred ears twitched and he looked to his side. He stared at the man staring at him from atop the fountain and was still for a moment before he smiled.

"Hello there. May I help you?" His voice wasn't as gruff as it usually was. It was a bit lighter and softer than his natural one. He did wonder if this was Shadow but he couldn't just assume anything. This could be a DATS agent he didn't know about after all.

Shadow inclined his head slightly, the voice was slightly familiar but it was the fact that Jake was the only bipedal cat in the area that made it clear this was who he was looking.

"Maybe, cat." His voice sounded as it always does, disinterested and somewhat bored. "Unless there are more of you about waiting in this area."

It was a weird way of going about it, this being Shadow's way of checking to see if Jake is who he should be. And well Shadow was never very direct.

Jake's smile widened when he heard the voice. He could recognize it right off the bat and he shook his head to the question."

"Nope. Just me here. Nice to finally meet you in person." He kept the fake voice for now. He needed to make sure no one around would recognize it from the network. He really didn't feel like having any drama today.

"So. You ever been to Tetha before or is this your first time here?"

"I have been here a few times," A pause. "On business."

Which meant Shadow was only here during times of shit is blowing up and fighting is going down. Not that Jake would know that. He then hopped down off the fountain and seemed to be waiting for Jake to lead the way.

"I was thinking we could do some shopping and then maybe get something to eat. That sound good to you?"

Jake continued smiling and looking at Shadow. This was a nice change of pace for the Kat actually. He was out and about with a new person. Maybe something good could come of this.

He did want to make sure Shadow had a good time out today. Even when it was just the other's voice Jake wanted to meet him and now that they were here, he was determined to make sure they enjoyed themselves.

A shrug is the only response Jake will get from Shadow. Simply because he doesn't care what they do, he was only doing this because of Kero being loud. This was a the more quieter solution.

Sadly for Jake, Shadow wasn't exactly planning on getting anything out of this. Just a way to waste some time.

"Alright. Come on." Jake turned and made his way across the Square. If Shadow didn't care then he was going to have to try and find a place that peeked his interest. How hard could that be?

He'd start with something that might do it though it was cheating. First stop, a sword shop. The place sold swords, knives, and other blades. This was where he had gotten some previous work done anonymously for his Gloveatrix so he knew they did pretty good work. Maybe Shadow would enjoy looking at weapons.

Shadow simply followed Jake in silence. And if Jake notices the slight raising of an eyebrow at the sword shop? That may class a slight interest on Shadow's part.

Well that is until they get inside, as the ninja robot almost makes a bee-line for the more Asukan inspired weaponry.

Jake followed behind Shadow and looked over the Asukan inspired weapons. There was a nice selection though it could be better. He looked from Shadow to the displays, hoping to see what he was most interested in.

Shadow seemed more disappointed in the fact that he couldn't actually touch the weapons, and he wasn't really up to bothering the clerk either. So instead he frowns at the pithy selection.

"Poorly made garbage, really." He is not impressed, at all.

Well shit, that didn't go well. Maybe if he could see the weapons he'd change his mind.

"How can you tell from just looking? I'll get the clerk and get him to open the case." Jake walked off and returned with the digimon clerk. He opened the case and stood to the side. He'd watch them to make sure they didn't take anything without paying.

Shadow didn't answer, at least not until Jake came back with the clerk and the case was open. Reaching in and taking out what he felt was as close to a tantō as possible, the robot carefully hefting the blade as if to check it's weight.

"If I wanted such things I would go to Asuka and get the... real deal." That last bit just sounded weird coming from Shadow, as if saying such casual things was weird for him, as he put the blade back.

"Shall we go somewhere else?"

"Why not. Let's go." The clerk looked a bit put-off by the comment but Jake simply walked passed him as he headed towards the door. One place down but at least he knew of another place he could take Shadow sometime. Now he just had to decide on where they could go next.

And Shadow will follow, heading right out of the store. He honestly didn't give a fuck about how the store clerk felt. He really did think the weaponry in that store was very sub-par.

He has no clue where Jake wants to go next, but it couldn't be any worse.

Jake led Shadow down a few blocks before they found another shop, this one an electronics store. The feline walked inside and started looking around. Behind his sunglasses his feline eyes shined. This was his type of store. And with a few electronic devices and some junk one could make the missiles. He looked back to see if Shadow was at all interested in this store.
