Simon moved his head so that the uppercut hit with a glancing blow to the side of his head. It made him stagger, but he came right back at the other man.

"Never! That's MY willpower!" he shouted, one eye closed as he still regardless winced from where he'd been hit. However, there was a glint of light from the small drill hanging around his neck. Digi-Soul danced along his arm, but there was something else all of a sudden - the faint traces of a green power mingled with it.

"And I've only given you a taste of half! NOW CLENCH THOSE TEETH!" he screamed as his arm came flying once more for Sadamitsu's face.

Sadamitsu was a fraction of a second too late with his block and took the hit. He didn't need to be told to clench his teeth - it was instinctive after all of the fights he'd been in - but none of Simon's previous hits came anywhere close to this one. The punch sent him flying, and he hit the ground hard and skidded, leaving a gouge in the dirt. He rolled onto his back, but otherwise did nothing to indicate that he was still conscious. He was vaguely aware of the sounds of Kulon calling for him and running over, but he just stared at the sky.

That's his real strength, huh? There's no way in hell I can match that on my own. ...What the hell am I saying!? Since when has an enemy being stronger than me mattered!? Never! That's when! Even if it's somethin' I can't hit.

Kulon's panicked face blocked out the sky, and he felt himself being shaken as Kulon asked if he was alright.

What the hell've I been doin' mopin' like this!? I already apologized to Hawkeye-san. Unless somethin' fucked-up happens again and I can change the past, that's all I can do, even if I wanna do more. If she wants to forgive me that's up to her. I've never cared what anyone else thought about me, so why the hell am I startin' now!? I've always decided what the rules I gotta follow are on my own, and then I've stuck to 'em. I ain't gonna change that, now or ever!

He closed his eyes and smirked. "New rule: No virus is gonna make me do something like that to anyone ever again."

"Aniki?" Kulon asked in confusion at the statement that seemed to come from nowhere, then jumped as flecks of white Digi-Soul began to appear around Sadamitsu's body.

"And now I better get back to the other rules," Sadamitsu said, forcing himself to his feet. His entire body ached, but as long as he could move he would fight. "Hey, Simon." He stood up straight and smirked at his opponent. "Why'd ya go easy on me before, huh?"

Digi-Soul burst off of his body, blowing away the dirt that had gotten on his clothes and making his coat billow before dissipating and leaving his fists engulfed in white Digi-Soul. Kulon was nearly blown away and was left unprepared for the sudden rush of his partner's determination flowing into him, and he evolved to Lighdramon with a cry of surprise. Sadamitsu strode confidently towards Simon, not having noticed the display of his new emotional state.

"Did ya think I couldn't handle it?"

Simon practically cackled. "Truth be told, didn't know if you COULD..."

He smirked, his crimson Digi-Soul starting to rise up and circle around him, along with green strands of Spiral Power. The two mingled powers gave a burst around him similar to the force of Sadamitsu's, and he gave a dangerous grin.

"...looks like I might've been wrong... Still, fun question is, just how strong IS it?"

He thrust his hand into the air, the twin spiraling powers surging up around his arm, their momentum sending a blast of wind all around him.

"FINISHING MOVE!"

Lagann had relocated behind a rock, and poked his head out. "You're going with THAT?! Are you--"

He frowned, sinking back behind the rock.

"Why do I ask?"

The green and red powers shaped themselves into the form of a drill...

"DIGI!"

...which Simon promptly leveled at Sadamitsu.

"SOUL!"

The grin never left his face the whole time, even as he charged straight towards the other man.

"BREAAAAAAAAAAAK!"

Sadamitsu knew he didn't stand a chance at meeting Simon's attack. But that didn't matter. He would meet it.

"Bokuto!"

The Digi-Soul around his fists vanished as he opened them before reappearing as a short beam protruding from his left palm. He grabbed it with his other hand and pulled, drawing a bokuto of white Digi-Soul from his hand. Digi-Soul flowed around his body and he blocked the tip of Simon's drill with the sword.

The impact sent out an enormous shockwave, blowing away dirt, boulders, and a few small trees. Kulon managed to outrace it with his new-found speed, grabbing Junk in his mouth as he ran by. The pool at the base of the waterfall was emptied, and the water in the waterfall was blow away as well, making it look like it stopped for an instant before more crashed down and sent out a thick spray of mist as the pool suddenly refilled and overflowed its now-missing banks.

Sadamitsu grunted with the strain of blocking Simon's attack, the ground beneath his feet having broken a bit. But he was still standing.

Simon was brought to a stop mere feet from Sadamitsu, his fist still punching out to the air. His boots were dug into the ground, or what was well left of it where he was standing, as there was a rather sizable chunk of earth in his immediate radius that had been torn straight up from the clash of energy. His cloak blew out behind him by an unseen force for several moments before it finally fell back against him.

He looked up, then, at Sadamitsu... STILL grinning.

"Now then... that wasn't so hard, was it?"

Sadamitsu's coat settled as he shifted his stance, now that he didn't need to brace himself against that attack. The Digi-Soul around his body faded somewhat, but still remained, as did the sword he kept at the ready. He smirked back at Simon.

"Nope."

Kulon peeked out from behind a distant boulder, Junk still held in his mouth.

"Wow."

"That was impressive for two humans," Junk agreed.

Lagann came up behind Kulon and Junk now that everything had settled. "Tch, that wasn't anything," the crimson Armadimon said. "The humans - and Tamers in general - are capable of all that and more in this world..."

He gave a smirk, glancing out at his Tamer.

"With me only in Child form, this is STILL not everything a human can pull off with the power of Digi-Soul."

Simon stood up fully and squared his shoulders before crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yeah, I think that'll work out nice enough," the blue-haired man said. "You've DEFINITELY got potential."

"Humans are pretty fun," Kulon said around the helmet in his mouth. "And Aniki's the best of them all!"

"Humans are certainly unusual among the various sentient species in the galaxy," Junk agreed. "Sadamitsu in particular is unique among the beings I have encountered, both human and non-human."

Seeing that Simon wasn't going to continue fighting right away, Sadamitsu straightened up and rested the Digi-Soul bokuto on his shoulder, the aura around his body fading away completely.

"Potential? I'd say I'm pretty damn good already." He grinned. "You ain't bad yerself though."

"Heh, heh, heh," Simon chuckled. "Yeah, just sometimes we all need a kick in the ass. Like I was trying to get at... this world, and ALL of our worlds, won't be worth crap if we aren't able to show that kind of willpower. The viruses are small time compared to bastards like the Demon Kings."

He paused, and lifted his head up a bit. "So. Where you headed now, then?"

"Heh. Might have to return the favor someday then."

"Back to the Hyperion. Spend the night in a real bed. Camping out ain't all it's cracked up to be. What about you?"

Simon rolled one of his shoulders and rubbed it. "Back to my ship. We've got a lotta work ahead of us..."

He looked skyward.

"ALL of us."

"Guess this quiet lately can't last forever." He grinned. "I say bring it!"
