Tei was a mess. It had been days since she'd left her trashed apartment, broken and covered in splattered blood from the injury she had given Doctor Finitevus, and she had only gotten worse since then. Several tamers had already sustained non fatal injuries from her when they tried to approach the dirty, broken android to ask her what was wrong. Every time she had panicked and attacked them, but she was trying so hard to keep from actually killing people, she would run before the situation got too out of hand
( ... )
Nokoru had finally managed to get a decent lock on Tei's comm and he'd been following her, trying to catch up with her for a few minutes. When he finally found her though, he was surprised at what he saw. She looked horrible and worn out.
He walked up behind her and put a hand on her shoulder carefully. "Tei-chan..."
Her dented cheek and torn up arm were the only indication of damage, but she didn't seem to be in any physical pain. She wasn't sure when it had stopped hurting, but for some reason she just didn't feel the damage anymore.
She shook her head even though her damaged arm was visible as she held her hands to her chest. She was shaking, shoulders trembling.
"Tei-chan, its okay...we'll get this sorted out...I promised to help you, remember?" He said, trying to get a better look at her. He reached out to touch her arm, hoping that he could get a better idea of how hurt she was.
"No its not Tei-chan!" He said, closing the space between them again. "Please...you need help right now. You're hurt and probably tired..." He places his hands lightly on her shoulders. "I want to help you its okay, because I trust you."
Tei whimpered fearfully, tears streaking down her dirty face. A part of her wanted to run away, but the other part, the one that was going to give in to exhaustion eventually just wanted to fall in to his arms and go to sleep with the hope that some how it would all go away in the morning.
But there was that damn word again... 'trust'. The same one Finitevus had used to her. "You can trust me", he had said to her, but he still wound up threatening her when she continued to be unsure and evasive.
"No... no! I'll hurt you again! I hurt everyone! You can't fix me, stop lying!"
Nokoru gave her a confused look, "You are not going to hurt me Tei-chan. And I would never lie to you. Why would I? You remember what you made me promise, right?"
She shook her head again, more tears dripping down her cheeks. The week she had spent with him was muddled now, events no longer clear in her mind. She wished she could remember. She knew he had said something important to him, but what had long since escaped her.
"It won't work... I tried, Nokoru-kun... I tried to not hurt people..." Tei sobbed harshly, "I want to be with you, but it won't work! I'm too broken... I'm just too broken..."
Shaking his head, he pulled Tei into a hug. "Please don't cry Tei-chan. Everything is going to be okay...you'll see. You can be fixed, and we'll make sure you're okay."

"N... Nokoru-kun..." she mumbled, wobbling on her feet as she tried back away from him.
