Who: Quatre, Suoh, Duo, Allen, Jake, Dart What: The dog days aren't over yet, in fact they're just beginning... When: [Front Date] 02.14.10; after this log Where: Neon City -> Junk City
Quatre punched Duo's arm lightly, "Chinese takeout and cheesy movies? Okay that does sound amusing, but this will be fun. And you aren't going to turn into an icicle."
"He might, I should have gotten you a coat for your birthday, not that silly scythe."
"A good wool coat will keep you warm in rain and wind and snow though." Allen said, kissing Duo's hair, then pausing to stub out his cigarette as they got to the restaurant.
"Is this is?" Quatre asked looking at the tiny store front.
"Yeah, Turkish food. Their lamb is amazing. And I figured it wouldn't be busy."
"Everyone's either at the teashop or waiting for dinner to go out," Duo commented, tugging his jacket tighter around his shoulders again. He wanted to get inside, hoping it was warmer than where they were standing.
A 'Seat Yourself' sign was perched on the front desk, so Allen lead the way towards the clusters of low tables and cushions. Hanging braziers cast light dancing along the walls and draperies. He picked a seat towards the back and pulled Duo down with him and practically into his lap.
"They aren't busy at all, which means no one is going to be hurrying us out."
"Thanks Su," Quatre said and picked up the menu scanning it quickly. There were a few things that caught his eye but he hadn't had them before. He pulled a slim box from his coat pocket and handed it to Suoh.
Suoh was focused on the menu, nearly missing that Quatre was trying to hand him something. He looked down, a blush coming to his features when he realized Quatre had been waiting for him to take it.
"R-right..." Suoh nodded, taking the box and opening it carefully. His own gift was still in his pocket, the little box some how feeling really heavy now that he was reminded of it.
He unrolled his silverware from the napkin they were in and set them in place. He'd had Sokka do the metal work on a silver disk set into the brown leather wrist band, in addition to set of kunai engraved with Suoh's family crest. He'd figured that a restaurant wouldn't appreciate having weapons unwrapped, so those he'd left at home. But the wrist band was perfectly safe.
"You could always use your braid as another scarf," Suoh said with a teasing note to his voice.
"I've actually done that before!"

"After you two made us get up, no way."

"And I would help! You're the one who made such a big deal about going out today, Duo."
"Yeah, well, my fault for not paying attention to the weather on the news feeds. Next time we'll order Chinese and watch bad movies."

"That scythe is awesome and I love it. And this jacket is just fine."
"Oh, so, you're a wuss then."
"I hate the cold. Doesn't everybody?"
"Yes, but no one whines about it as much as you."

"Aaahhh warmth!"
"Complaining over now?" Suoh asked with a smirk.
"Until we're forced back outside."

"Good. This is warm and comfy!"
Suoh kindly took Quatre's jacket before sitting, being a little more mature about it than Duo was managing.
"Just don't get lazy and fall asleep. They might actually kick you out if you do that."
