What: Just another manic Monday
Where: Megakat Auto, Neon City
When: Jan 17th, 2011 - Morning
Just as Rei was walking to Megakat Auto to open for the day, Duo was rolling his bike up to the garage. She had met the braided teen a few times before, usually in passing at Haku's garage when he was over there bothering her, but she couldn't really say she'd knew him all that well.
"... hey. Is uh, Jake here? We're supposed to work on my bike today."
"He's supposed to be here soon, yeah. Him and Paulo. ... uhm... you can just put it in the bay until he gets here," Rei answered, turning to unlock the front office door. "... Duo, right?"
"Yeah. You're... one of Haku's friends, I guess?"
"Reiko. And yeah, kinda. She... rescued me a while back," Rei said, waving it off as she went inside, ducking in to the garage bays to roll up one of the doors for him. "Long story."
"I think we've all got our share of those."
"Don't I know it," Rei laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head. Duo rolled his bike in, straightening with a grunt.
"Haku kinda knows everyone, doesn't she?"
"Seems that way..." Duo obviously had something on his mind, but he wasn't sharing it with the girl. She made a face at him, though she was equally reluctant to pry.
"So, ah... what're we doing?"
"Hm? Oh! Modification. Got a bum leg, so Jake was gonna help me make the bike a little easier to ride."
"Well... not much I can do with that since I'm not sure what his plans are, but he should be here soon."
"'kay. Thanks, Reiko."
"No problem."
