Who: Inoue Konoha, Patamon, OPEN TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO HELP What: Boy needs a doctor. When: January 5, 2011; Early, Early morning. Like, Midnightish. Where: Meria
And help did come, from someone who was there by chance. Several minutes after the call came out, a strange creature who seemed to be made of living metal flew down, and landed beside the human boy, not hesitating to throw a brown coat over him.
"Help me get him up," Zero, the Winged Knight, said, as he took hold of one of Konoha's arms.
Patamon's eyes widened, and she fought the urge to fly right back behind that tree again. She gulped, and nodded, grasping his hand as bed as she could and flapping her ears to try and hoist him up.
Konoha didn't seem to protest at all ... but it wasn't like he could at this point. He groaned, and coughed a little bit, trying to turn his head away from whoever was carrying him so that they wouldn't catch whatever he had.
Patamon shrunk. Well, at least he was getting help .. she hovered beside the two.
HOSPITAL IN MERIAwriteshersnacksJanuary 5 2011, 09:36:54 UTC
The hospital didn't have very many patients, so Konoha was put in a room fairly quickly, bundled up in lots of blankets to raise his body temperature. Nobody was sure how long he'd been out in the tundra, but it definitely wasn't doing anything for what he had.
Other than when he'd heard Toko's voice over the D-Comm, he hadn't moved, or tried to talk. Every so often he'd have a horrible, long stretch of coughing, but other than that, he wasn't very vocal. He leaned back, fever and blanket abundance causing his feverish skin to sweat. His eyes were closed. He was hooked up to an IV to get some fluids into him, which was probably a good thing, considering he felt so horrible he didn't think he'd be able to eat or drink anything.
Patamon had come out of her hiding place and was now laying beside him, half of her body covered in one of the blankets that covered him.
Toko had run the entire way, from the library to the light post in Axoryi, and the light post in Meria to the hospital. When she burst through the door she barely stopped long enough to ask for Konoha's room, rushing there as fast as her legs could take her.
She did finally stop when she reached the door, standing there, panting heavily as her gaze landed on Konoha's frighteningly still form. A tightness welled up in her chest, but she swallowed hard, trying to hold back tears. She hadn't seen him in months, and now he was hooked up to tubes and lord knew what else, in a strange new world that wasn't even their own. She wanted to be happy that he was there at all, that she wasn't completely alone, but for the first time in her eternally optimistic life, she couldn't get herself to focus on the positives.
He heard her voice again. Only this time, it wasn't coming from that cell phone thing he'd gotten when he arrived here. No, this sounded more real ... Konoha opened his eyes, forcing himself to move enough to look over at the door.
Once he saw her, he couldn't help the smile that crossed his face. She really was here. It really was the Toko-senpai he always knew.
And despite how crappy he felt, he couldn't help the happy feeling he felt in his chest just from seeing her.
"T-Toko-senpai ..." He managed to get out, his voice quiet and raspy, before he went into another coughing fit, effectively scaring Patamon off of his bed.
She knew he didn't feel well. Even if he was obviously going to get better at some point, she knew that hugging him wasn't going to help him. But she couldn't stop herself. As soon as she heard his voice she practically threw herself at the bed.
