Who: Duo, Quatre and Suoh
What: Quatre's birthday.
When: Saturday December 18th, afternoon.
Where: Q's apartment, Tetha. (Then Neon most likely.)

"Are you sure...?"

"What's not to be sure about, Su? Are we really going to go over this again?"

"Well he's been so preoccupied lately... and with everything that happened--..."

The voices were coming in barely a whisper from the living room. It was the same argument they'd been having in little spurts throughout the day, for the very same reason that Suoh was protesting again. He was at the end of the hallway, peering around the corner but reluctant to go in to Quatre's office.

"With everything that's happened he could use the break, and something good like this," Duo cut in with an exasperated noise, sitting on his knees on the couch with his elbows on the arm rest, blue eyes watching Suoh closely.

"I did get him a gift..."

Another sigh, and Duo's voice got a little louder, loud enough to be heard in the office.

"Yeah. I did too. All the more reason. Go bother him before I drag you down there myself!"

Stretching, Quatre looked down at his DComm for a minute. It was later than he'd expected, but there was still some light drifting in through the window. Everything was still glittering from the blanket of snow that had fallen. He could hear Duo and Suoh in the next room and figured now was as good a time as any to start thinking about dinner.

He got up and walked out of the room, stopping before he bumped into Suoh in the hall. "Oh...hey. I was wondering what you two might want for dinner? If I should start cooking something maybe?"

Suoh stumbled back, stuttering and stumbling over his words. He hadn't expected Quatre to come out, let alone run right in to him.

"W-weuhm... we..."

"... were... thinking about going out, actually. Yeah," Duo chimed in, sounding just as awkward but managing a dopey smile despite it.

Nodding slightly, Quatre turned back towards the office. "Ah...well, just come get me whenever you want to leave."
