Sara laid on the bed as she always did. She had been there for months now. Gaomon sat by her, as he always did. He waited patiently for Sara to wake up. He had let himself go over the past few months. He was getting skinny from lack of food and he only bathed when ordered to. He didn't want to move from her side. He should have been there to protect her, yet he failed. She was injured because he didn't want to go on the jog with her. It was his fault.
Deep inside Sara was struggling. The darkness was thick and all around her. She knew she needed to get out, but she didn't know how. There had to be a way to escape the darkness, but it seemed so hard to do.
