Who: Greg, Lance.
What: In the immortal words of R.E.M., "Everybody hurts sometimes"

Where: Hyperion, Lance's apartment
Being friends for over a decade didn't always mean Greg and Nick saw eye to eye on everything. So of course as soon as Nick relayed his 'conversation' (could it really be called that? From Greg's point of view it was Nick berating the man the entire time) to Greg the younger CSI blew up right back at Nick. They argued for almost a full hour before Greg finally gave up and threw his hands in the air over the whole thing.
There were times when they all needed a little sense slapped in to their heads. And yes, Lance did need to get as much rest as possible and worry about Haku when he was more capable, but Nick really could have chosen a better moment to hit him with the reality of the situation. It could have waited, regardless of how frustrated Nick was with everyone.
But by the time Greg found all this out it was really late, and the last thing he wanted to do was interrupt any rest Lance might actually be getting. So he waited until morning, went down to the corner store to get some groceries (and some miso soup with potato and onion for Lance) and came back up to Lance's apartment.
Finding the door unlocked, he knocked lightly on it before opening and poking his head in.
"Lance? You awake?"
