What: Even tough girls sometimes lose their way...
When: July 11, afternoon
Where: Axoryi, in town
There was music playing quietly over the speakers in the small outlet mall. The kind of music that didn't have any lyrics but sounded like it could have, or did at one point and was taken out for the sake of being unobtrusive.
Whichever it was, the sound wasn't helping Sam's nerves any. They were frayed to a point where she wasn't even being aggressive towards anyone anymore. And she was completely at a loss for how to even begin to make herself feel better.
Spencer tried. And she gave him kudos for that, given that she wasn't related to him in any way and it wasn't really his obligation to do so. But it wasn't helping.
And what was worse was that it seemed like her and Jean had completely stopped speaking to one another. She'd stopped being mad at him, but it had gone back to being awkward and odd between them. She wasn't sure what to do about it, or how she even felt about him anymore.
Sighing, Sam stopped and stared at a window display for a few minutes, without even really realizing what she was staring at. Just that it was something to look at for a few seconds.
It didn't distract her from her thoughts any, though.
