Let it never be said that Onizuka was not inventive.

Somehow, someway in the space of a few hours he had put together not only a large portable swimming pool for the party, but a pair...not one but TWO fully functional hot tubs.

When asked how he mysteriously responded that "Someone owed him a couple favors.

With a sigh of bliss he slid into the hot tub and cracked the tab on a cold can of beer waiting to be joined in his relaxing.

In the pool savoring how cool and refreshing the water was, a massive alligator drifted casually on his back with a blissful sigh, his partner munching on a hotdog near the edge of the water.

"I tell you peewee, this is the life~" Louis called to his partner who made a point to ignore the blissfully chill reptile as he casually drifted about the pool.

Splash had come to this event to socialize. That, and Lorne was hosting it. He'd always treated her well. Upon seeing that there was a pool, she'd made a beeline to it. Sure, she COULD function out of water, but she was built for aquatic functionality above all else.

She dove into the pool, with Gomamon following close on her proverbial heels, and she surfaced with a giggle. She caught sight of Louis, then, and she tilted her head. "Huh," she said to herself, swimming over to him. "You don't normally see an alligator in a pool!"

"See that's how you know, this gator is one classy reptile~" Purred Louis opening his eyes and winking at Splash without moving any other part of his body.

"And you can talk!" Splash said in wonder.

Poor Louis. He probably had no idea what was coming...

"THAT'S SO CUTE!!" she squealed, throwing her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly.

Gomamon surfaced, just in time to see this, and she blinked several times. "Uh..."

Louis let out a gagging noise as he was hugged perhaps a bit too tightly and wheezed, "Glad you think so!" he was so surprised his tail even let his horn slip free and it drifted around in the pool.

Splash was positively giddy, hugging Louis as though he were a stuffed animal. Gomamon sighed, and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Uh, Splash," she said quickly. "He probably needs to breathe."

Splash blinked, then squeaked and let go of Louis quickly. "Oh no!" she said. "I'm sorry, Mr. Alligator! Are you okay??"

She spied the horn drifting the pool, and she dove to retreive it. She surfaced a moment later, holding the horn above her head triumphantly.

Louis let out the air that Splash had trapped in his lungs causing him to for a moment sink below the water before coming back up again with a sheepish smile, "S'all good darling! Everything is fine soon as I find my...ah thank you." He plucked the trumpet from her hands and inspected it blowing on the mouth piece ejecting spare water out the front and back into the pool. "Good as new!" He grinned a ridiculously toothy grin at Splash.

Splash giggled and settled into a relaxed float, lazily swishing her tail to maintain her position in the water. "You can play?" she asked sweetly, and with just a hint of awe.

"You bet I can!" Louis proclaimed loudly, "Louis is the best jazz horn player in all the Bayou!" Bragging came naturally when he had spent so many years being...well the only jazz player in the Bayou.

And, just because he liked her Louis played out a short peppy rift from his horn which echoed wonderfully in the evening air.

Splash practically squealed, and she clapped her hands together in delight. "A horn-playing alligator!" she exclaimed. "Oh, I want to take you home and keep you!"

Gomamon slapped a flipper to her forehead, and she poked Splash on the shoulder. "Um, Splash?" she said. "He's a tamer, I don't think that's appropriate."

Splash looked at Gomamon, then looked back at Louis... and she pouted. "But he's awesomeeeeeeeee~!" she all but whined.

Louis couldn't help but smile with his rows of razor sharp teeth, he loved attention, "Well let's not be too hasty now peewee! Where do ya live darling? Ole Louis has just kinda been going where the music takes him!"

Which was code for...he'd been sponging off of Lorne in exchange for food.

Goblimon got into the tub, a nice smile on his face.

"This is awesome. I love living here," he said aloud.

"One side action hero." T.A ordered slipping into the tub beside him and taking more then her share of seat, "I wish we had one of these at the hideout." she added, "I could make a giant stew."

Goblimon smiled and easily made room for T.A.

"If you get one, will you invite me over for the stew?" he asked with a smile.

"Weeeell, OK. But you can't try and arrest our housemates, and you have to bring the bread bowls." She decided randomly.
