Who: Nanoha Takamachi, Qilinmon[Kudamon], [OPEN, but no hostiles as ... they'd probably have all of Royal Base down their throats, then]
What: Preperation
When: June 4th, 2010, Dawn
Where: Royal Base
Nanoha had been at this for weeks, up before dawn every morning.
Certainly, she was usually up early ANYHOW. One of the first things she did - and had done, ever since she came back to this world older - was go out and train. She would encourage others to join her, and of course there had been things like Daigo Kazama's rather extensive resistance training.
But this, now? Was not about teaching others. She made sure to get up early enough to not interfere with any of that.
No, what she was doing now... was teaching herself.
Anyone who looked outside Royal Base as the sun rose would see twin bolts of gold and pink flashing across the sky, clashing at such a fierce speed that some may have difficulty following.
Nanoha knew she was fast. It was one of her strengths. But she knew she could be FASTER... and that was one factor of her abilities she was working on right then. She was trying as hard as she could, straining all of her power and her body to keep up with her partner's pace in the sky. Qilinmon being among the fastest known Digimon made this... difficult, to say the least.
She would change out with trying to strengthen various areas of her skill every few days. Sometimes she would use her partner, practicing on focusing her Digi-Soul strong enough to deflect the unicorn's attacks. Sometimes she would call upon Waspmon personnel, ordering multiples of the soldiers to come at her at once, simulating as best she could a swarm of airborne enemies gunning for her.
Nanoha's thoughts were interrupted as she suddenly lost sight of her partner. Her thoughts had drifted too far, and her focus wavered for just a second - long enough for Qilinmon to put on a burst of speed, getting around the other side of her. Nanoha brought up a small, weak barrier of energy as the unicorn slammed into her side. The Mage rocketed downward, straight towards the ground at a breakneck pace, all the way from the top of Royal Base.
It looked as if Nanoha would slam straight into the ground, but suddenly the Accel Fins at her feet fanned out, and she was brought to an abrupt stop in the air. Qilinmon flew down to meet her, eyes wide.
"Nanoha...! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
Nanoha laughed a bit, waving her hand. "It's all right. You're doing fine," she said, and rubbed her shoulder. "It's ME who was slacking there..."
He eyes drifted away from Qilinmon, looking out in the direction she knew Ravemon's weapon laid.
"Not going to be able to get away with that, soon..."
"You're really pushing yourself, you know..." Qilinmon murmured.
Nanoha smirked a bit, readying Raising Heart. "Nothing we can't handle. So. Again?"
