Who: Lorne, Onizuka, Sarasim, Slade Ron Pearlmen, Lunamon, Jim Mendetta [Open to all] What: Spring cleaning When: Friday May 7th Where: Hyperion Hotel and Caritas Karaoke Bar and Grill ( Yep, another slice of life thread from Al, business as usual. )
Up on the floor almost overtaken entirely by musical singing robots and their significant others, the Onizuka/Yowane apartment was wide open, windows and door to let the airflow through. It was such a beautiful day after all.
And hard at work (More or less) in the kitchen was Onizuka, wearing only a pair of jeans and his sunglasses as he fried a pan full of noodles, stereo playing in the backround.
Goblimon was flopped on the sofa messing around with the D-comm, apparently bored enough to be reading the posts people were putting up today.
Lighting a cigarette and blowing out a stream of smoke Onizuka grinned, life was good.
After her talk with Lance, Haku had tried to go to work and keep her mind off of everything. What he had said to her was, of course, encouraging, but her mind kept defaulting back to what had made her so upset in the first place, and what she wanted and couldn't have.
Still, work had always put her in some form of a better mood, so she tried desperately to focus on that. At least until she burned her hand when she unthinkingly reached in to a still-hot engine.
Needless to say, Dart was rather worried about her, and when she realized she was out of repair supplies in the garage and attempted to wrap it in gauze and continue working, he insisted that she go home. Something was on her mind enough to cause that kind of distraction and it was obvious she needed to be away from the garage, not at it.
Haku reluctantly agreed, hoping that Onizuka wouldn't be home yet and she could go hide in their bedroom and feign some sort of tiredness worthy of not allowing herself to get out of bed, but of course he was home. With the doors and windows

Oh no such luck today Haku. Your cheerful if mildly thick husband to be caught some movement out of the corner of his eye.
A sort of primal instinct took hold as if he suspected his noodles were in danger and he was forced to turn to greet the newcomer only to find it was Haku. "Welcome home Baby!" He called turning down the music and setting the stove to simmer before turning and crossing the threshold in a few steps to embrace her.
Onizuka heard the squeak and grinned, god she was adorable! To show is affection and appreciation he leaned in, "Lucky me!" And kissed her deeply.
One could argue the best cure for depression is the kiss of a loved one, then again that person arguing had probably never encountered Haku queen of the robo depression. Either way a muscular bare chested Onizuka embrace and kiss had to be worth something.
Well, to his credit it did make her feel a little better, even if she was still hiding a burnt hand behind her back. She smiled and leaned in to the kiss a bit before pulling back.
"I ah... should change..." she said, trying to inch-slide her way to the room without turning.
"Hee~" Onizuka purred shooting her a sly grin, "But the workin' girl look is so sexy on you!" He encouraged his eyes on hers. That didn't say much, Haku could be dressed in a chicken suit and probably look good.
"You want some noodles? Maybe a beer? It's Friday after all." Again not that the statement mattered much, Onizuka and Haku had no qualms about drinking during the work week.
Onizuka gave her a cheerful thumbs up, oblivious to her worry until...
"Hey Haku what happened to your hand?"
Goblimon was peeking from the sofa and his eyes had settled on the hand behind her back, from where he was sitting he could see what she was hiding from Onizuka who now looked concerned.
"No..." Haku sighed, holding out her bandaged hand to him. "I got stupid... stuck my hand in the engine when it wasn't cool... I'm fine, though, I just need my kit."
Haku winced a bit. The hug didn't hurt exactly (even though her nerve receptors weren't too happy with the damage with her skin and outer shell), but him saying that only reminded her of her talk with Lance. She glanced at the floor, shuffling her work boot against the carpet fibers, causing a few to stand up oddly.
"... last week... when Lance-nii and Greg-nii were little... Lance-nii kept crawling in to bed with us, remember?"

"I would strangle you if I could," she hissed under her breath, turning around, "It's nothing. I just had a little accident at the garage."

"I could strangle him if you want." Onizuka offered trying to peek around her to get a look at her hand.

"Gag me." Goblimon mumbled sliding back down out of sight onto the sofa.

"Not that strong..." she admitted quietly.

He didn't know what was wrong but a gut feeling told him what to do so he embraced her again firmly.
"strong enough to take care of your family better then anyone else in the building." he pointed out, "I'm always amazed by you."
