Ryuunosuke just sat where he was. He was gazing over the water of the lake. Being close to the element that he was gave him some sort of peace of mind. It didn't bother him as much that his origami was now this creature. In fact it was nice to actually get to talk to it.

"Hey, Ryuunosuke! Where are you?! Give me a signal flare or anything to give me your location, okay?!"He'd be lying if he said that he hadn't heard the voice. He was sure he saw some things flying out of the trees, but that didn't bother him quite so much. He looked to his partner as he drew his Shinkenmaru, it turning to the Water Arrow form ( ... )

Hoshi spotted the arrows, going straight in that vicinity. When she arrived, she was glad to see her new friend in no kind of harm whatsoever.

"Hey, great signal!" she said. The kind of dress she had definitely didn't reflect a shrine maiden. It was a mismatching sweatshirt with an equally mismatching shorts.

"Glad to finally meet you in person, too!"

As he heard the rustling of the plants, Ryuunosuke quickly made the Water Arrow disappear. He turned, blinking a little as she spoke. He was was actually surprised at how she dressed and was acting - having visited a shrine during his time as a Shinkenger with his lord and fellow vassals.

"Arigatou gozaimasu, Hoshi-san," he smiled nervously, "It was my first time performing that technique, so I wasn't sure if it would work correctly."

"It seemed to work very well," the V-mon spoke, "It needs some perfection yet, but knowing your skill, it won't take you long."

Blushing a little, he scratched the back of his head. This was just slightly awkward for him. He looked to the girl. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, as well," he spoke again. Yeah, he wasn't sure what exactly to say.

If anything, she was an informal princess. In her village, the closest thing to a princess was the High Priestess, and she was next in line to be the heir to the powerful family she represented.

"You're welcome, and it's really neat. It definitely isn't anything I've seen before," she commented, giving Ryuunosuke a bright, beaming smile.

She closed the distance in between them. "I should've asked you if you had any questions about this world. Well, maybe we can get all of that done over something to eat or drink, if you'd like?"

"Ah well..."

This time the V-mon spoke. "It's not a technique widely known or often used. Even among the members of the Ikenami family. This has been the first time in several generations where such a thing had to be used," it informed.

"As he said," Ryuunosuke nodded. Upon hearing her question he nodded. "I'm not sure what questions to ask or where to start... but it would probably be best to do that at a place where it is more comfortable to sit."

"Ah, so it's like a secret technique," she commented, knowing full well of all the heavily guarded secrets her own family had and kept. Why, with her being a reincarnation was one of them, wasn't it?

"Well, how about we sit here? It's a gorgeous day, and it'd be a shame to waste it being all cooped up, right?"

"I suppose you could call it that, yes," the V-mon spoke.

Ryuunosuke looked around at the area. He couldn't disagree - it was rather nice. He was still getting used to the place as he looked up. There was a giant island above them and he just stared at it for a while before moving his gaze around. He had heard that a couple people he knew were somewhere, but he'd check in on that later.

"Yes... It would be a shame to waste the day."

"Then let's sit down," she said, sitting down on the ground cross-legged as she removed her bag from her back as it leaned against her. She had a couple of refreshments stored in there if they got hungry or thirsty.

"So, why don't you tell me more about yourself? I know you're a kabuki actor, but is there anything else you'd like for me to know?" Hoshi asked, looking over at him.

Ryuunosuke thought for a moment as both he and the V-mon with him sat down on the ground. Something she would like to know? Well... maybe...

"You have people around here that become something else yes?" he asked, "A costumed fighter of sorts?"

"Uh..." Pause. The closest she knew was her own group of friends, so maybe them?

"Well, my friends and I kinda do that, but only with our spirits. Do you know shamanism at all?"

shinken_blue April 5 2010, 03:56:26 UTC
"No... I don't know shamanism," he spoke honestly, "I've heard of it, but I don't know of it."

He scratched his head. How was he going to explain this? I mean, it was so easily explainable back in Japan - they openly henshined for Pete's sake. He looked to the V-mon. It just looked back up at him.

"Only do it if you wish to. You're currently in a time of peace so not many would know of you in the first place," it spoke wisely to him.

"Ah, well... it's pretty much connecting this world to the next world. Essentially, I can see and communicate with spirits, ghosts, and demons," Hoshi explained.

She stopped talking to look over at him, showing him a smile. "Don't worry. If you want to show me, go ahead."

"Ah... I see," he spoke. Was this where he told her about the Sanzu River being real?

Looking around, he took a breath. "Only if you won't tell anyone. I don't want to get in trouble for something that I didn't mean to do," he spoke as he took out his Shudophone. He stood in front of her a distance away.

"It'll be our little secret." She added a trustworthy smile behind that, watching intently to see what he was going to do.

Ryuunosuke gave a weak smile. He bit his lip. The drum beat really helped to get him ready for this at times. Sure they hadn't had it all the time, but it still helped.

Taking another breath he started the process that he hadn't used in a few months. V-mon watched carefully.

"Shudophone!" he spoke out, flipping out the phone then making it so that a brush came out the end. He brought it up to his chest.

"Ippitsu Soujou!"

That's when he actually started writing the kanji for water in the air - the character showing up! They were in reverse to her before he flipped it over.

The character placed itself over his body, forming a blue and black uniform of sorts. A blue helmet formed over his head, the kanji for water in black over where his face should be. A strange sword - the Shinkenmaru - was on his left hip in a type of holder. On his right hip was another holder, but in the place of the thing that should have been there, it was his digital device. Beside it was a holder for the Shudophone.

Drawing his sword, he sliced the air in front of him. "Shinken Blue," he called out before bringing the sword to him before slowly pushing it out a little, placing a hand with spread fingers in front of his face. "Ikenami Ryuunosuke!"

He then stood normally, replacing the Shinkenmaru on his belt. It was almost like he was waiting for inspection almost.
