WHERE: Deep in the Albion forest, near The Castle of the 13 Warriors
WHEN: March 17. Mid-morning.
WHAT: A rendezvous between two lovers of science
Tenenbaum sat on a fallen tree, her legs together and hands in her lap. She was waiting patiently for Mr. Lucas to arrive. Goblimon was pacing back and forth, his club in hand, the top half on his shoulder.
"How do we know we can trust him?" Goblimon asked in his usual fake deep voice. Tenenbaum merely shrugged.
"We can't," replied Tenenbaum.
"Then why are we meeting with him?!" Goblimon exclaimed.
"Because we have had no other contact with others. Besides, he is honest. And I have you, what is there to worry about?" Tenenbaum knew her answer would cease Goblimon's protests. She knew stating out loud that she trusted him to protect her would affirm him. Even though she was not completely defenseless. Though she had no plasmids, she did have the pistol secured in her jacket. If Mr. Lucas were to try anything, he would soon find out he picked the wrong victim. Even if Tenenbaum thought that would not be the case.
